I had the same exact experience in home economics, in the fourth grade (Kentucky) but I schooled them. I remember they were all into it with their mouths open when I told them that I could not wash my hair every day because that would dry it out, break it off and they told me that white folks hair got oily in just a couple of days. We had a hair forum!
