3. "I want to party with a gay guy."
In response to Reply # 0

Why?
They always seem to have lots of fun and be "turnt up"at events.

But it is hard to come across one these days in my regular routine.
I did see for gay guys at a table in Papparuchos the other day talking about their gayness.
I was waiting for my takeout.

I thought about chatting it up with them but then thought they'd think I thought of them as a novelty and really wouldn't embrace me like that.

There is a gay hispanic guy in my vanpool but he rarely rides.
He is really cool ALWAYS on "10" and is from cali like me.
For some reason he thinks I'm single, forgets I have a wife and kid at home, and always asks me where I'm going to turn up for the weekend.
I guess I need to ask him where he kicks it at.
But he non black and I was hoping to befriend a black gay.

Hopefully I will be invited to some pride events this year.

Wish me luck!

like really really enamored with her and err'thang.

Like I was on that Jodeci "Come and talk to me, i really wanna meet you girl" at the lockers every morning. Her locker was like 3 away from mine.

"Before I go to sleep, and dream about you...I'm a single man, I hope that'chu are single too".

My boy also liked her.

* turns off Jodeci*

Me, being the unselfish person I put my feelings aside so that he could pursue her and yadda yadda.

He went out with her and what not. I remember him braggin' about being in the car with her kissing her and suckin' her fingers (ayyy, 10th grade that was some sh*t to be doing or so I thought). I was super salty but I ain't let it show.

Fast Forward to the present and now...

Why did he come out yesterday on Facebook?

I ain't mad that he is what he is...I'm actually happy for him in that regard. I'm upset that I put this girl on the back burner when he knew damn well he ain't like her LIKE that. That was almost 23 yrs ago and I wanna roll up on him (in the South of France where he lives with his beau)and whoop his ass on GP.

That's all i got for a confession.

I'm gonna let it burn (c) Ursha

I'm still kinda shocked.
He was always real pretty tho.
He modeled for a decade or so.
He live in some large east coast city now with a lot of black gays

Now I see why he was dodging me when I was in his city with my wife last year and was trying to link up.

from panama with that silky rico suave ponytail...girls were likin' him and alladat and he seemed rather receptive to their fawnin' over him (at least it looked that way in my young mind but now as I sit back and think on it, not so much).

and to make matters worse, my momma used to say "something is wrong with that boy" but would never elaborate on it past sayin' that.

and to make matters worse(r) than that, I *really* liked that girl. Like I planned to attend a local state college to be her (Virginia Commonwealth University stand up!!!) , had already picked out the names of our 3 daughters and even planted her a rose garden in our yet to be purchased home.

Been lifting boxes in a warehouse, about to work at a health food store too, and hopefully by the time I find a job teaching this summer I'm gonna be in the best muthafuckin' shape of my life.

Already putting on muscle just from lifting shit, and now I'm gonna have a discount on fruits and veggies.

I'm stuntin' on all of yall in like 4 months.

Please do not bring this post back up if I end up eating nothing but "organic" junk food and I actually end up out of shape.

we hung out, had a girl night and watched movies at her place. she cooked dinner and i crashed on her couch. the next day she woke up early and left for church. i woke up later and cleaned up where i was sleeping and washed the dishes.

later she sends me a text asking if i washed her dishes. i didn't respond. that was like early January.

anyway, recently i've been texting her asking if she wants to hang out and go to a couple of concerts... no response.

i don't even care right now. cause i don't have time for crazy.

why do i have so many crazy friends? i'm trying to work on building up an larger friend base. i need to get out of my introvert shell... *sigh*

of course i washed her dishes, nobody else was there. i didn't know how to respond. And I was busy at the time and forgot about thinking of a response to it. And really didn't think that much about it at the time.

i was expecting something like, "Hey! Thanks for cleaning up. You didn't have to, but it's appreciated."

In response to Reply # 43

There have been times in the past when I forgot to respond to a text message and she didn't get upset. She usually doesn't respond to me until a day or two after I send her a text. But to not respond at all to like 5 or 6 messages is unusual for her.

But she is not really a clean person and her apt usually looks like a pig pen but she had hired a maid to clean the day before I came over. So I'm pretty sure she took offense to me washing the dishes. Its not a normal response but I think she is capable of it.

are a variation of the name of a girl i was in love with Freshman/Sophomore year of college.

Each
and
Every
Password
I
Got

her name isn't normal

but i was that infatuated with her.

I thought this was gonna be my super boo for life.

She coulda got all my love, all the time. If she wanted it.

We were an hour a part.

Tried the long distant shit

I was willing

She wasn't

Well we tried it for like 2 months....she decided she couldn't do it

like this was at the time theeeee best woman i'd ever met and i was willing to leave it all behind(FE!!)

anyway we've always kept in touch. always. No matter what. She's all but admitted through 2 baby daddies and several failed relationships that she shoulda gave me and her a real shot.

I saw a pic of her today

BLOWUPTUATED.

All i said when i saw it was

"She wouldn't have been that big with me"

shallow.....

But it's legitamately sincere.
When we first met and were hanging out over some food, I was spilling to you about relationship stuff, how I'd just met someone and was pretty excited about that.
You were also telling me about someone you were talking about someone you knew and while you liked them you weren't sure if he was seeing someone else.
During this time you said something that dramatically changed my way of behavior and probably saved my relationship before it ever got started.
You said to me "I don't really care if he has a woman though, because if he's talking to me like that she's not that important to him."
Hearing that (or something very similar) so candidly blew me out the water. I'd always been the one to fuck up good things and bad things by keeping one foot out the door and the other in the room. Even if I was seeing someone, if someone else was throwing it at me, I'd at the very least have listened. But after that I started to shut that down. And the rest is present history.

There's a woman in the office that has most certainly given me "the look" and what not. She's not the first and won't be the last. But I can't justify entertaining her and I really think that open moment of honesty is what changed a lot of my behaviors. It sounds so simple and one of those things that people "should know." But I'm still learning people, taking them at face value for what they say, and even at 30, nobody had laid it out to me like that before. So it's appreciated.

One of my good friends (she calls me her big sister even though she is older than me),

She just emerged from a 17 year marriage with an abusive religious fanatic. This was her: http://www.ramshacklechic.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/black-burqa.jpg

She is practically homeless because her mom has Bipolar disorder and kicks her out every 2 months.

Somebody stole her car and she hasnt been able to get it out of the impound because $$ (FUCK DPD). Not in a position to help her out because this is a slow time of year for us (property taxes, car repairs blah blah)

She already has 3 children:
16 year who stays with me and hubs because teenagers and her school is close to us.
14 year old who thinks he is going to make it to the NFL but nah.
7 year old who is alright. . .

My friend just told me she is pregnant.

Thinking about applying for this

I went through levels of annoyance, anger, and then disappointment at the phuckery that went on. I've shown her the subterfuge, the mathematical improbability, and the cult-like nature of these things, but she's convinced it's going to work and I'm not believing in her. This is just the latest in a string of bad decisions and I don't know if I want a long term seat on that ride.

because it will involve me on some level (and already has), from her asking for contacts, to expertise from me as a professional marketer, to financial support when she's sunk her money into the products, meetings, and such.

But more, it has to do with the string of decision making, being gullible, and trying to take the easy way out of a situation. Everybody knows someone who knows someone who's caked off these things and that does happen, IF YOU GET IT IN EARLY, because they are essentially pyramid schemes. The people at the 15-20th level, which I'm sure this particular one is at, are needed to keep to keep the <3% at the top paid. And from the business meeting/church service I went to yesterday, complete with altar call - they prey on those who are at their end or looking for a "financial blessing" in the wrong place. Starting a life with someone who doesn't have a discerning spirit or exercising critical thought when confronted with these kinds of things doesn't bode well for a permanent relationship, i.e. marriage IMO. At 34 and trying to get my own financial house in order, I can't afford that misstep and have to limit my exposure.

That's potentially going to place a lot of stress on the relationship right from the outset if she can't carry this ambition on her own. Plus I imagine giving your contacts over might put you in a compromising position professionally.

Definitely a concern. Mixing business with the spiritual has caused many a family issues. Churches tend to play up the successes and ignore the failures. We've seen plenty of clients fail and it can cause a lot of tension in the relationship. And if she wants your expertise as a professional, why can't she trust your professional judgement as to the financial worthiness of this venture? Good luck with both that and getting your financial health in order.

Just IMO though.

Well, if she's not your wife, you have a right to just support her venture via pure morale booting and emotional empathy.

But no matter what you do, do it for the good and for the right reasons.

Well, in some instances it's about getting in Early, and with some products it's about motivation, skill, and client base. No MLM program will work unless the person is devoted to the mission for their own personal gain =- HARD WORK. But if you are sacred because she's daring to take a dedicated leap to help improve her situation then maybe you are not the right person for her. No Knock on you. But I know plenty of people that have a entrepreneurial spirit and they have lost everything and some have gained more then they could have imagined.

It sounds like he doesn't like this stuff on principle, and he's considering whether or not he wants to be with a woman who would go as far as to actively participate in something that he thinks is a bad path to take.

I mean, would you ever marry someone who disagreed with some core tenets of your world view?

In this case, I don't care for MLM because they are not my passion. But if I met a lady that was into the MLM opportunities and she's dedicated to making them work - yeah I'd be down.

Like I said, I know a few people doing really well and a few of their spouses didn't like it until the money started coming in. And not they are a team.

Well, you've never seen an entrepreneur not have their business bleed into their personal life either. When you on your one way of making money it tends to become a way of life.

I wish I could get legit paid from twitter...how cool would life be if I got paid to tweet all day...and then i realize I'd have to find a brand and build it, then find a way to capitalize on that brand and get money...and it seems like too much work. so essentially I'm lazy.

I thought that since I had a snow day I would work on a new novel idea...that interview I saw with Toni Morrison really spoke to me. She wrote her first novel at 39. I GOT TIME! But it was her statement about how she wanted to read something and she couldn't find it, so she wrote it. that's how i felt when i was younger, but i stopped because life and i just gave up on so much. but i digress, i literally didn't do anything with my snow day.

Also trying to decide if it's worth telling someone i know they are a liar. or just let them keep lying. i keep dropping hints, and i know they kinda get it but sheesh...it's annoying and you're amazing but yo...it's annoying. you're amazing without the lies.

i miss Hawaii. (i blogged about it, it's not much but it's below)

I learned a lot about him (good and bad) and by extension myself. I understand a bit more where I get some of my personality and characteristics from. We're alike in many ways (good and bad).

I saw my paternal grandmother for the first time since I was a baby. She's quite a character. She told me about some of our family history.

I met my stepmother (who's white) and my two younger brothers (who are taller than me). They're very nice people.

My father apologized to me. It was an awkward conversation at first and definitely not the way I envisioned having the talk we've been postponing since we got back in contact 4-5 years ago (it happened in the middle of a pharmacy). He tried to deflect a lot of responsibility at first but eventually he accepted what he did (and didn't do) and apologized. It meant a lot to me.

His memories of what happened vary dramatically from my mother's recollections. I tend to believe her because she was waaaaaaaay more detailed (my father doesn't remember a lot and his explanations were kind of simplistic). She's happy that we were able to vet to know each other though.

My girlfriend accompanied me on the trip. She made everything easier and we got to have some fun too.

I had reservations about going but I'm glad I did.

And if you keep it up, their going to call you an Alias from one of the may people that they've run off this site.

So, don't stand to far wary from the center and stop going against the grain unless you're prepared to be cast out of the temple.

But like I said, you already know this 2013.

I can't even let it go here like I want because the lines are tapped and that's hella corny

But I'll say this...i have to be who I am. I'm not in my heart a vindictive person, and I get nothing from hurting others...just because. Will I? Yes. But only if I have to. And I don't have to right now...so I won't.

On one hand people telling me to go one route and don't seem to understand I am doing what's best. That route does nothing but hurt people it won't solve the issue in fact it will make it worse...& all is have done is "prove" something. I don't care abt that beyond having nothing to prove...to anyone.

On the other if the shoe was on the other foot and it was me? History shows I'd be fucked. Because people around me are vindictive and would fuck me over just because

I see it. I see it all. & I remember. But I am not that way. So do you...& I'll do me

Because a family member still hasn't paid me back the nearly $500 I lent in an emergency situation.

She knew it was my bill money for January. And she knows she's late in paying me back.

I've already planned and budgeted the future around chalking it up as a loss but it definitely hurts.

Found a roommate so I can leave this town sooner. But now he won't stop fracking up.
So I guess it's back to planning for just me. I'm sick of being able to rely on NO ONE.

I'm pretty sure she behaved herself too but it was so peace, I really might visit her next week.

We'll see, maybe my hormones are just playing nice right now.

Finally talked to my sister, looks like she's over it.

Basically tryna re-establish my fam in my corner cuz maybe I will need them

I'm expanding my recipes and my $$'s getting right so maybe I will be able to kick this shizz off *tips cap to Bin*

I still feel a ways when folks ask if I'm dating though. I'm not pressed to make anything happen with anyone but it would be nice to get roped into lively discussion with somebody sessy.

I do have a mini crush on one of the regulars at my new gig though so hopefully he'll ask for my digits one of these days *shrug*

for those who want kids or think getting the tax break or whatever is worth it...feel my pain

so. 8 yr olds after care (AFTER care. ONLY after school, and on teacher inservice days or whatever I cant bring her there until after 9 am) is currently $115 a wk.

in the summer its $255 a wk.

i CAN afford it...but barely. finding a less expensive option would help out tremendously.

so I do so...a program in a county run rec bldg thats 5 miles or 10 min away.

other programs just like it in other buildings just like it have a bus that goes from other elementary schools just like ours

but MY particular school...doesnt.

because those other schools are closer to the rec centers to which they go.

i call the bus barn, they say nope. cant happen.

thats bullshit. if its happening @ another school it gatdamn well can happen @ ours.

so i call the rec center...they are like nope. no buses...maybe call your schools prinicpal.

i have a message in to the schools prinicipal to see what she can do

heres my thing.

this shit IS going to happen. im not saying drag her ass across the county. drop her off 10 min/5 miles away from her school.

it would literally save me hundreds a month. thousands per year.

its happening @ other schools.

if every other school didnt have a bus & the parents at other schools were just i dunno...paying for a shuttle or something to get their kids to where they need to go...thats 1 thing (still unacceptable but its how it is for everyone)

but thats not how it is. other schools have buses going to this affordable, clean, county run program. why not here?

if the prinicipal has nothing for me...im going on a fucking jihad. im writing everybody from the county executive clean down to the janitor. im writing the newspaper, the websites, everybody is gonna hear abt this.

because this is nothing but oh those poor ignorant mexicans & white folks & the sprinkling of negros...they dont know or care so we can screw them. naw bro. not on my gatdamn watch.

meantime ill wait for a call back from the prinipal...and if she dont hit me tonight...ill be in her office tomorrow morning w/ the shit eating grin like HOWDY MIZZ SAMPSON! came to make your life harder!

yep.

does it really matter?

for all my fans who keep my name in their mouth: http://i.imgur.com/v2xNOpS.jpg

but the extra $125 a week ($500/mo) for after school would've changed our day to day life dramatically. 5 of the 8 other schools in the district have buses that run to this state funded after school program but the top 3 performing schools do not.

Thats not even the killer...I could swing the $500 a month but the after school ends at 6 pm (where as the state funded program ends at 7pm), I timed it 2 or three times to see if i could make it (i get off work at 5pm) and I've been late to the "new school" by 7-8 minutes. You know how after school programs are about tardy parents, fees and removing said kids from program after "x" amount of late pick ups...

so as it stands, my son is in the same school as before and I'm not breakin' my neck to go pick him up.

Oh did I mention that there's a bus from the "desired" school that drives on a street exactly parallel to the after school program that my son currently attends?

this ain't even Plessy vs. Ferguson (separate but equal).

there was a special on em, and i was like fuck it. i'm strangely excited about it, cause i think i'll be good at it, and it'll be fun. but most importantly...i wanna be good. i wanna be good at everything i do, which is the Virgo perfection rearing its ugly head. i'm lying. i don't want to be good, i want to be great. i want to be the best.

i've had so much fun since working back in the city. i drink a lot, but i'm not driving. i take myself to fantastic meals, and see friends. i go to events and shit. so far i think i'mma have the improv classes, a kickball team, and a karaoke league all coming up. its probably way too much for me, but i'mma be in these streets. having fun.

and the job...my shit is so sweet. and i'm in meetings and handling projects and all these old Black women love my well mannered, handsomely bearded, Black ass. its like fishing with dynamite. and they force us to work from home. i do less laundry cause i don't have to wear drawls. its all so very awesome.

my Dad is retiring and i love him for that. true Thomas fashion. lol. he was like....you know what....i've had enough. i'm done. here's 6 months and ya'll can have all this shit. its so G. go and enjoy your life old man.

i think my Mom got her driver's license which is the craziest thing i've heard in a while. but maybe after 18 years she's outta her funk.

i got good times all in my bones. life is a-okay, motherfuckers.

In response to Reply # 0

When I was about 7 or 8 i remember getting out of bed and going into our family room and seeing my dad's friend on top of my mother.

she was not resisting him... and this did not appear as if he was making a pass at her and she tried to stop him... from they way I remembered it.

I distinctly remember this event...

I never spoke about that event to anyone ....ever.... over the next few years there were events where I would wake up in the morning and my mother would tell me I was sleep walking...

But I KNOW in this instance I was NOT sleep walking...

I am not sure why as a grown man this event still bothers me.

but it does..

anyways thats about it.

The key is the right boil

u want it boiling but not the big bubble boil cause the breaks it up

and I use a 3/4 measuring cup to lower it in the water

like I put the cup in the water and let it almost float out while tipping it out

turn it down to low and let it cook for 3-4 mins

I like mine firm but still runny

kinda like the consistency of yogurt

but im banned tho.

i mean i aint saying come in and have dinner with us and pretend like we are just one big happy family but to step in and wait for ur kid come on now...

she is bitter very bitter and I find it sad at this point.... like we should be past this point by now... but i guess she will never be past it...

side note as much as i hated taping the show i love how it turned out.

I got a good life man

My friends have the business sense of fruit flies, don't ask me shit
lol #banned.

The older you get the more you know many never grow up.

I'm done with one venue I DJ at because of shady mgmt.

But I'm using it to execute some ideas for a bit that I can take to a
better venue in the spring.

Looking forward to spinning out of town next month.

The weather is so beautiful today, going to the park!

i hope the Seahawks smash Brady and co this week. i hope this game resembles last years Superbowl when Peyton was locked down for almost the entire game. Plus itd by dope to see a black qb when back to back SBs. History making.

How did I miss that Angie Stone was in vertical hold?!

My squat is getting better. My snatch and clean needs work.

My aunt had brain surgery today and I have prayed a lot. I hope she's going to be okay and they find out what the hell is going on with her.
