Either he thinks he's bigger than the Oscars and doesn't need to do that, or he knows his former apology isn't really an apology. Or both.

As he shouldn’t... one thing that never should be done is to change your viewpoints on what you believe in. When it comes to black males in particular there are differently a different set of rules, but the black community as a whole (not totally) actually falls for this stuff. We get swayed in believing that he actually did something wrong when he didn’t.
