To think that everyone is always going to get along, not be offended, and not be exposed to offensive statements is simply naive and spineless.

What a stiff and humorless room that must be, where a bunch of professional pretenders sit (desperately) and stew and wait to hopefully have their names called. To be so sanctimonious themselves, to go and hang it over this guy's head after he already expressed regret and demonstrated his own personal growth... that's actually just gross.
