And also, what I read of his former apology didn't come off like an actual apology. But let's say he fully apologized in the past. Why wouldn't he post a link to his former apology now and just say something like "everything I said then in my apology I continue to feel today", rather than just drop out of hosting the Oscars? Either he thinks he's bigger than the Oscars and doesn't need to do that, or he knows his former apology isn't really an apology. Or both.

Like I said, *this* is not the case for him to take this stance on.
