"Champions League Final 2019: Getting an early start on Brexit"

Gonna be English one way or the other. Suck it, continent.

I'm confident, which is generally a bad idea.

Not that I underestimate Spurs. But I expect LFC to be all business, from Virgil on forward.

Keita out for LFC. Firmino should be back in.

I assume Gini the Barca Killer will start in Keita's spot alongside Hendo & Fabinho.

Spurs are a good squad, and they'll put up a good fight for 50'-60', but it's all gonna be too much in the end. 2-1 Liverpool.

If his arm had been at his side the ball still would have hit it. Would it have been a penalty then?

One of the things I love about the futbol press is that they will tell you when a game isn't that great or flat out sucks. There is no Joe Theissmann type dickhole out there telling you that the 13-3 turnover fest between two 5-11 teams that the network would never have scheduled if there were any flexibility whatsoever is a barn-burner.

The first half was pretty much trash, at least Liverpool moved the ball with some purpose when they had it. Tottenham in the final third was ridiculously bad and they barely picked it up once they opened up their game a little. Kane, Eriksen, those guys were basically invisible. Liverpool didn't exactly hit back hard but they took a more defensive posture, I guess, and the last strike was nice.

I was expecting a disappointing match with all the hot ones behind us but this fell below my expectations anyway. I was pretty bored. Happy for some of the guys on the Liverpool side though and happy to see Kane flop on the big stage.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

But can we talk about how bad Turner has been in broadcasting the CL this season. Fox was bad, but Turner has taken it to a whole new level of terrible. Why is Steve Nash on there? Holden looks like an Ellen-clone and doesnt add much. Don't mind the woman, I think she does a decent enough job hosting.

And they didn't even send their own commentators to the game. And the switch of announcers/feed at halftime was embarrassing.

Yeah. Not sure I've ever seen that before.

The partnership with Bleacherreport is garbage. There are few sports web sites I hate more than that one.

Credit to Pool and VVD, who I now hate with a fiery passion. We just couldn’t get a single thing going.

Spurs sholda started Moura. Kane was a waste up front and thinking he could be that impactful after the long layoff was foolish. Should have used him as a supersub. Spurs defence played well though.

Irrelevant because Pool was sitting on a lead all game, but still. We got em on expected goals.

And I don’t think Moura would’ve made a difference. Without some midfielders who can physically beat the first defender, you’re not scoring on Liverpool.

I pretty much agree with what everyone has already said;

1) The match was underwhelming, sloppy, and borderline MLS-like

2) The handball was legit, but it seemed like they were trying to give Liverpool the advantage early and that made it easier.

3) Spurs couldn't generate anything. Kane was basically a shadow...to say a decoy is being generous. Son's best chance got swatted by van Dijk. Erikson was good, but not his usual level of good. Rose....ineffective.

4) My hatred for Jurgen Klopp is at ShEli Manning, Chris Sale, Ed Hochuli levels of hatred. F*CK HIM

That video is part of it. His humility level is zero, and I can't stand that in anyone.

He comes off very fake to me. I read people by their actions and reactions in certain circumstances, and he seems to have a "plastic smile".

The dick move he pulled when he ran on the pitch against Everton earlier this season....and it gets excused away because he's "enthusiastic and personable"...FOH

Plus, I'm an Everton guy and he's the Liverpool manager

And if I were Everton I'd probably be pissed when he ran on the field.

But the rest of the soccer universe needs more personality like his.

Compare his ego and personality to some wet blanket douchebag ego like Mourinho. Or all the boring milksops like nearly every British manager.
