We agree that it's epic and Whedon
should just direct (or atleast oversee) every Marvel movie
from now on;
that HULK is done right this time
and that it's, like most reviews stated so far,
one of the best superhero movies EVER.

Like someone already stated in the other post, Avengers is particularly a FUN film. The storyline isn't deep in any way and the film goes right into the action and keeps that going steadily.

It's definitely the best Marvel film so far. Whedon did an amazing job putting all these characters together and giving them equal interesting screen time.

I was very pleasantly surprised with how he handled Black Widow and Hawkeye in general. I really thought they'd end up being supporting characters.

I'm also very happy with his portrayal of both Banner as well as the Hulk. I really feel he should be handling that character from here on out. For once the Hulk seemed less about the CGI and more about the character, and Banner was pretty much Banner.

The only character I'm somewhat disappointed with is Nicky Fury. He's mostly used to tie everything together, but people still don't really get to see what he's about.

All in all there's not really anything I'd change about this film. There's no filler scenes IMO, no useless romances, no filler characters etc.

And as always, definitely sit through the credits.

It's fun, epic, full of depth. Whedon is top of my list after Cabin in the Woods and this.

I agree the Hulk is done right. All the characters are great.

I see it as this..during this year away he finally figured out how to control it. And banner, through tony having complete confidence i him and telling him maybe the monster saved you, he started to treat the hulk as not a disadvantage but maybe as a friend, and then you have this team of heroes who trust you and want you there, i don't want to say banner controlled the hulk but the hulk saw he was not alone, and had a purpose. So he was just as distractive but he is not mad at the world, or at the least he is not mad at the other avengers, in the hulks world those are is only friends.

If you recall at the end of the Hulk movie, Edward Norton turned to the Hulk meditating, that's why when he turned to the Hulk towards the end of the Avengers movie he said my secret is I'm angry all the time meaning he can turn to the Hulk whenever he wants. As far as him spazzing out on the Hellicarrier, the staff Loki got from whoever that was and the gamma radiation on it had something to do with it remember when the team told him to back away? I have to watch it again.

Saw it in 3D though, which was kind of pointless. But whatever, shit was dope regardless.

..they didn't have much of a storyline for this, but that ultimately worked in their favor.

in most cases, less is more

in this instance, less dialogue, more action.

MUCH better job with the hulk. jojo & jeremy gave solid turns in their respective roles without over-doin' it. hemsworth as well.

as a matter of fact, the only weaknesses in the cast were hiddleston, skarsgard, and jackson. *i fault the writers/director in that regard, as those 3 are certainly deserving of their reputations.

jackson came across as bland instead of stoic.
hiddleston was far from terrifying (more hokey than loki)
skarsgard was basically disrespected with such a menial role.

the fight choreography was on par with the pace of the film. *kudos to jojo on her fight/stunt sequences.

it goes without saying that tony stark is always the star of the show, and robert downey jr was born to play him.

family fun, cool tech, and a lot of ass-kickin'.

this should have been a 4th of july release.
