PHOENIX SUNS (pisforprops) (7-3) @ PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS (blassfemur) (7-3)
This is definitely a possible Conference Finals matchup. While the Blazers have stumbled slightly against the Celtics, the Suns have been steam rolling the competition, currently on an 11 game winning streak. In order to shake things up (or keep up with the Jones'), GM PisforProps sent Leonardo Barbosa to the Celtics for Glen Davis and Stephon Marbury (the latter of which didn't seem to work out). Now with Marbury as a back up to Nash, and O'Neal and Stoudemire dominating the paint, the Suns feel they have the squad they need to go to the Western Conference Finals and beyond. The Blazers have put all their stock in Brandon Roy and MVP candidate LaMarcus Aldridge. GM Blassfemur was one of the few teams to not pull the trigger on any trades in the first three rounds. This is an important game for the Blazers, a team looking to solidify themselves as one of the elite teams in the west with Phoenix and Los Angeles. They have wins against the Lakers, but losses to both the Celtics and the Cavaliers. Against the Suns, Roy dropped 17 points in a Blazer win back on July 8th. O'Neal scored (a surprising) 3 points in 13 minutes, his lowest point total of the entire season. It will be interesting to see if this rejuvenated Suns squad can get revenge.

bulls/celtics - Bulls won first match up 73-72 in the closing seconds.
nuggets/lakers - Rondo has a tough assignment with his new team.
blazers/cavs - Varejao had 10 off the bench in a cavs win. But now that he's been traded...
knicks/celtics - pierce goes back to the garden. But he's got a new PG.

if such is the case i've beaten the Lakers, the Cavs and a slew of other teams using league rosters so how do we rectify this?


I did lose to lonestranger and in fact i sent LO quent a message before we played saying that the round 4 wasn't live before we played last night because after i lost to him it didn't register


so do we play it again because who's to say that the "league" settings were applied to that game? again i did LOSE to the Bulls, i'm not denying that at all but as the Commissioner i'm sure you'll handle it as you see fit

a.) Playing a team you're NOT scheduled to play in any specific round. So for example, you and I don't play this round. But if we're both online and just want to get a practice game in with our league teams, we can still play. Just know that the game doesn't count.

b.) Playing a team you've already played once before the round ends. In this case you've already played the Bulls officially. Any games thereafter you play against the Bulls don't count statistic and record wise.

Neither of these games count.
Now, if you want thelonestranger want to play again, that's on y'all.
But if the pretenses were that you guys were playing a league game (and I'm assuming that this is AFTER he advanced to Round 4), it still counts because it was the first time you played in a set round.

and either way i won't object however i feel somewhat slighted because again there is no record of the game and i was under the assumption that as you stated in the Round 3 thread there was a "flip" to be switched...which i brought up to both lonestranger and LO quent last night before both games...i sent the challenge from the round 4 screen because that's where it took me and it didn't register.

I don't know when the two of you played your game, but when WE played ours, it was after I had advanced to round 4. Again, after you'd mention that LB still had to "flip the switch" in the message you sent me, my response to you was that I had advanced the round after that last game was played.

I advanced the round once chap and nipsey finished their game and then sent everyone a message saying that round 4 was live. Round 4 was live when we played that match.

I advanced the round after chap and nipsey played. Then, I sent everyone a message on XBL saying that ROund 4 was live. And then I went into the round 3 post and posted "Round 4 is live".

I got two responses to that message and one was from Messiah inquiring about a trade proposal he sent me. He said that he thought we still had time because you had to "flip the switch". I declined his offer and told him that I had advanced the round after the WAS-PHI game.

Then I went to the "owner home" and invited him (Messiah) to play a game. After he didn't accept, I canceled my invite, then he sent a message saying he could play in about 5 minutes. About 10 or so minutes later he sent me an invite to play. and the rest is history
