I disagree...but if that's how you guys see it, then so be it. This can be debated/argued all day long. Truth of the matter is that there are ways to get the ball inbounds without getting it stolen. Switch between both of your guards, move one toward the top of the court or anywehere else (as long as you're moving him away from the other guard), switch to the 2nd guard and inbound the ball. If the AI stands on the line, switch to that player and move him. This isn't rocket science. So what's next? Somebody gets too many blocks, so then we have to stop contesting shots? Not shooting enough free throws?? Here let me clear the bench and let the goons loose to rack up some fouls to help you out with that. This GAME is flawed....I'll give you that, but you can't complain about EVERYTHING. Some of these things can be fixed if you pay attention to what you're doing.

You're right though...the basket hanging is not cool. I've played some guys where they purposely leave a man down court when I have the ball (which means we're playing 5 on 4)and when I brick a shot, they just throw it down to the man that they kept in the backcourt and get easy baskets. This can be negated as well if you adjust to it.
