It's really sad whats being done to our food now, and has been done to our food for so long without our even knowing about it.
My granny used to always talk about growing her own cucumbers, tomatoes & carrots, and green beans --- And having peach, pear, plum & tangerine trees --- And fishing in a nearby lake --- And going out to the chickenyard and wringing a chicken's neck, plucking & frying it up for dinner that night --- As well as picking up a few eggs from the henhouse for breakfast the next morning --- Cooking cornbread, bisquits, and fresh loaves of bread --- Making peach preserves & jellies --- And homemade pickles!
Ahhhhhhhh, that was the life! --- No doubt it was a hard life, but at least you knew that what you ate was FRESH and wholesome!
Unless we go back to the basics and do it ourselves --- Or unless we wanna spend an arm & a leg for ORGANIC foods, WE'RE JUST FUCKED!!!
