This is a collaboration of some of most talented poets and emcees in the world!

(I don’t care if it’s not that busy in here it’s still the most talented board ever and you know this MAYUN!)

ALL OF YOU HATERS RECOGNIZE!

Anyway, the ladies have chosen for us to have another co-ed event as we did last year.
The topic they have chosen by votes is to write about is “WORLD/INTERNATIONAL ISSUES” (Obama, Hurricane Katrina, Iraq, anything else you can think of that you think is important, etc)

This year I’ve tried to be alil different:
I’ve added a Stage, Dressing Room, and an Awards Hall! Woo yeah!

Check it out…

The “STAGE” is where you display you and your partner’s work.
The “DRESSING ROOM” is where you pick an outfit. I thought it would be cute to know what you would wear and why. I put links to all the outfits (provided by the freestyle okp committee)
And The “AWARDS HALL” is where you can give someone else a trophy! (i.e. “I think blahblah, should get this best short poem award because blahblah writes the best short poems)

Here are the rules for this post:

1) You have to have a partner to post on a topic in this thread.
2) You had to of asked someone of the opposite sex to participate with you.
3) You and your partner should write about the topic that was chosen.
4) There are no guidelines about the style or length of your posts.
5) There are no guidelines of length of time that you have been on these boards for you to post. (newbies welcome)
6) Please Make an Introduction Post with your name in the title part and reply under “The Stage” Title Part of the thread (just because it makes it easier to find your work)

Im italiana n German, Scottish, Jewish, mixed, I write flows, battles, and poems/my fav things to do is make tracks, spend time with my children, go to concerts and shows, and converse
I used to write poems in like 4th grade, then i sung hooks for a friend that rapped, who said i should try to rap, I wrote my first hiphop track in 1994 to a wutang beat...the 6th chamber beat on the gza lp-I got my emcee name "essentials" because of a wutang song-a line that the rza said-before that i went by the name of "suga"-that was my tag in highschool

People tend to live and act, based on how they perceive the world.

The “big dig” in Boston came down crumblin’ cuz they didn’t prepare for it enough before it started buildin’ America fixin other countries while we remain strugglin’/Hurricane Katrina still needs to be cleaned up/Why are we still in Iraq? We should have taken care of that in Desert Storm, instead we have to overcompensate for our mistakes/other countries don’t even like us anyway/They still have a one child policy in China, send the girls away-to keep the family name, Female Circumcision goin on in the third world, don’t want women to feel sexual pleasure, but it’s whatever, just carry on, while all this shyt still keeps goin on! Priests always rape little kids its an oxymoron cuz it keeps happening what is wrong? I don’t get it, while so many single moms remain just a statistic/wic checks, welfare, and low income certificates/men in jail just to get a free meal ticket/like it’s a second home/too many drug addicts/easier to get high than to come off of it/too many men wanna be what they see in a rap video/sell that shyt/kill their own kind/black on black crimes/Ricans have one of the highest aids rates/hold up wait? You forgot? Them statistics you need to overcome, and find love to strangle mediocrity/ set an example for your sons and daughters, stifle the hypocrisy/be leaders not followers/knowledge is powerful/but with it comes responsibility/the only way is to have the proper priorities/ if you got offended im sorry/maybe that means you should make a change/ cuz that’s all it takes/and these days there’s too much help and knowledge to become a statistic…you need to use your strength, instead of manipulation tactics to get your way…

I'm from Sacramento now living in Salt Lake. I write because if I didn't I'd go insane. I'm still amazed anyone that isn't me enjoys reading what I write, but hey, not gonna argue it. I chose the white tux, but fuck that silly white on white- its gotta have a black shirt and tie and pocket square man, and a black fedora wit the white band. GOTTA ACCESSORIZE.

Anyway, enough about that. On to the magic.

description: Black bubbly busy body female whom is borderline obsessive compulsive w/ just the right amount of sweetness to give you a pretty decent cavity.
why I write: I can't not write. I do it to keep my sanity in tact and to also keep the mind operating at a rather productive level. I'd describe my style as totally and completely inside-out of the box w/ a grand amount of narrative and story-telling caught up in the mix.

I'm rocking number#1 the black dress w/ the slits b/c I can do that.
