"The Equity Of The Moment" Thu Nov-12-09 11:20 PM by gsquared
Several lions on the wings of something different, roaring bellicose longings that make space for possibilities, love is in the air and dreams do eventually come true
Tourists visit my life and take pictures, they capture thin veneers and go home empty, but with their souvenirs in hand they don't realize it
Street lights a carnival, slices of watermelon spit pits at Italian iced ladies with lipstick that tastes like Chicklets
Can I love how I want to? are there limits to the magnet? Are my heart, my mind, my cock expiration dated? Now is all there is, and now is fine, I have more to offer you than anyone who is here now, and I ask for nothing
beyond the
equity of the moment.

^^^This spoke to me especially. Sometimes I think I am the tourist to my own life, and the souveniers in my life are a distraction from the fact.
I also am reading "Seth Speaks," so the way you employed the word "now" at the end also spoke to me as well. Very colorful piece indeed. Thanks for sharing.

Love the way ^this^ is positioned / framed / like a moving photo (picture) ... flippin' thru frames of the mind & heart.
*Absolutely Love It*

me (as the reader) exactly what I was expecting from the title and the author (a vivid piece of narrative writing that I could enjoy). My favorite lines are below:

You've always had the *knack* for luring me into your work. This piece was not an exception. Great work, g. *nods*

Thanks so much...this piece goes to show you why it is not a bad idea to scribble shit down on napkins in barrooms and stuff the result into your pocket for later...

The prose seemed to skim along almost leisurely and non-threatening, but once you maneuver to your key points, they hit with the force of a pissed-off stonecutter with bricks in his gloves. This is a very good thing to me.
This part hit me the hardest:
"Now is all there is, and now is fine, I have more to offer you than anyone who is here now, and I ask for nothing
beyond the
equity of the moment."
But then again, you are a historically skilled writer, so I should expect jaw-droppers like these.
