a friend in Brooklyn throws a Monday night event in his backyard called "The Bomb Shelter"..a safe space for comics, seasoned and new, to try out jokes and bomb lol

it was hella fun..i had been writing a few jokes for a while..tweaking them, etc...i thought i had 5 min, but they only lasted about 3 and a half minutes cuz i was talking too fast and didn't wait longer between jokes like i'd planned

i didn't bomb tho, which is awesome...got a few laughs and a few guffaws... i memorized my set and had decent transitions..just gotta work on my delivery and write a little more material...looking forward to doing it again

that's all i had LOL but i'm writing a little more about dating married men...i wanna go deeper into that...and more into the experience of being 50, while avoiding cliches about aging as much as I can

thanks and I agree its a good joke, but i gotta work the punchline better. the host of the show let out a late gaffaw, which I REALLY loved cuz he's a comic himself

She's naturally hilarious, the funniest person I've ever met, and I think she'd kill it on stage. She'd be more in the Robin Williams style of comedy, off the cuff, tangents, etc.

The Bomb Shelter just started a couple weeks ago...run by Harlem River Yacht Club / Ohene Cornelius so if he's plugged in there he would know about it...
