"Shanesha Taylor pleads guilty to child abuse (LINK)"

http://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/scottsdale/2015/03/16/shanesha-taylor-change-plea/24841277/

Shanesha Taylor, the Phoenix woman who left her two young children in a hot car during a job interview last year, pleaded guilty to one count of child abuse on Monday, a court official said.

Taylor, 36, had been set to begin trial March 31.

She pleaded guilty to one count of child abuse, a class 6 felony and domestic-violence offense, in exchange for prosecutors' dismissal of a second count of child abuse, Maricopa County Attorney's Office spokesman Jerry Cobb said.

Taylor will face at least 10 years of supervised probation when she is sentenced on May 15, as well as completion of a treatment program for domestic-violence offenders and parenting classes, Cobb said.

The Maricopa County Attorney's Office reinstated prosecution against Taylor in October after she failed to deposit $60,000 in a trust fund for her children as part of a deferred-prosecution agreement.

Taylor has since said the trust has been established and funded, but would not say how much money had been deposited.

Related: Records show Taylor spent about $4,000 per month

Taylor's windfall came from supporter donations after her tearful mugshot went viral a year ago this week, prompting an internet fundraising campaign netting about $114,000.

Scottsdale police arrested Taylor on March 20, 2014, after being called to an office complex on reports that someone had heard a child crying in the parking lot and followed the noise to discover an infant and toddler left alone inside an SUV.

Taylor told authorities she left the children in the car because she couldn't find day care.

we love to see poor black women w/children fail. especially those of us who feel sorry for ourselves b/c we're black single fathers who feel like black single mothers catch all of the breaks.

absolutely. she had her chance and she failed so she should be punished harshly in a manner that will likely hurt her children (10 yrs of probation appointments and who knows how many other hoops to be jumped through where any violation could result in a re-sentencing that would likely include jail or prison time). b/c it's important that all of the other mothers out there who are struggling to do their best be deterred from repeating this mother's mistake - which was trying to get a job while struggling to feed her family. no wait...her real mistake was accepting money she didn't ask for which came w/conditions that were pretty tough for her to meet and she made some mistakes which are to be expected given her financial education and it's not like the money came w/advice. oh hell, her real mistake was being born black and a woman and choosing to have children anyway. of course. so what this will hopefully do is deter other poor black women from having children.

you're right.

fuck you.

make it less likely that she'll do it again bc her probation officer can care for her children. I forgot probation officers babysit kids. And for 10 yrs. That's a good outcome for this family.

ZERO reason to leave those two ALONE...unless the world is crumbling and that's their best chance for survival. but even THEN, she escaped prosecution, people put what? 100 grand in her hand. she made a deal. if u don't prosecute me, i'll put this amount of money away for my kids.

she couldn't even do THAT. this broad is FILLED with bad decisions.

where she's had NO ONE to watch her kids for a while whie she interviewed. so she either pissed off every one, or picked piss poor friends,

hell, you can go to a catholic church, humble yourself and ask some nuns to watch our kids while u interview.

this probably wasn't her 1st time doing this. I'm a parent, the ages of the kids made her choice unacceptable.

so true. the catholic church can DEFINITELY be trusted w/caring for kids. they've done such a wonderful job w/it recently. all of those kids who complain about being molested while in the care of the church are liars.

>this probably wasn't her 1st time doing this. I'm a parent,

yup and as a parent you should have no sympathy for her like no one has sympathy for you.

keywords: STRIP. CLUB.

sho you right. a single Black father can't catch NO BREAKS but single Black mothers get all the consideration and all the breaks. the world bends over backward to help them out.

sho you right.

>ok she went to a job interview. so that makes it less bad?
>who gives a shit? the danger is the same

so true, man. there is no point in giving consideration to this woman's plight and ppl only wanna do it b/c she's a woman and a mother. it's sexist is what it is.

>ZERO reason to leave those two ALONE...unless the world is
>crumbling and that's their best chance for survival.

yup! and she only did so b/c she's a no-good single Black mother. like all of the rest of them. meanwhile single Black fathers can't get no respect. a single Black father would've been dragged to the town square and drawn and quartered. meanwhile this woman got off easy - 10 yrs of probation ain't shit! all she gotta do is meet w/an officer a few times per month - arranging child care each time, of course. and arranging transportation. possibly from a homeless shelter or from under a bridge. b/c she's homeless. but so what? she probably blew all her money on nails and shoes b/c she's a no good shiftless woman. like all of them.

but even
>THEN, she escaped prosecution, people put what? 100 grand in
>her hand. she made a deal. if u don't prosecute me, i'll put
>this amount of money away for my kids.

yup. and then she failed at the deal b/c the terms changed on her and b/c she has no financial education. but Suze Orman is a woman too so women should know how to count money and this woman didn't b/c she's a thieving conniving reckless wretch who doesn't care for her kids which is why she left them where she thought she'd be safe while she went to try and secure a job that would pay her enough $ to provide secure housing and food for the kids. but she's a failure so she should be locked UNDER THE JAIL. she's still getting off easy!

>she couldn't even do THAT. this broad is FILLED with bad
>decisions.

and she should be stoned for that! she's lucky, man.

fuck you.

the point is the kids were left in unsafe conditions and putting this woman on probation for 10 yrs will erase that. it'll be like that never happened. though the kids suffered no ill effect from being left alone and the 10 yrs of probation won't actually address any of the issues that brought the woman to that point none of that matters. what matters is that we feel good knowing that wench is suffering!

i dunno what sarcasm.

we agree that this woman got off easy - maybe too easy.

yes, she received $100K for the kids that was to be put in trust - and that means she should have NO MORE MONEY PROBLEMS EVER b/c $100K is enough to buy everything 3 small kids and 1 grown woman need for like, life. it's a huge windfall. which she blew on hair extensions and hot sauce b/c she's a Black woman. and now she has nothing to show for it - typical story. all poor ppl are like that. you give them some money and they will blow it on frivolities like nail glue and Funyuns. it's why they should all be rounded up and imprisoned. to spare themselves. and their kids should all be removed from their custody and cared for by the state. b/c kids can't eat nail glue!

>props on the color purple line. but you in here tryna vouch
>for her.."you can vouch for nuthin!"

i'm great at this OKP shit. i should teach Shanesha how to post here b/c then she would be able to read all the tips you have for her in this post that could turn her life around. like i'm sure she has never thought about the decisions she's made in her life that resulted in her not being able to secure child care while she interviewed for that job. she needs to read your criticism so she can be motivated to get right! LOL.

oh hell, we both know that'd be useless. your pearls shouldn't be cast before swine like her. she should just be put in a stockade and then dragged out of town by her hair like the trollop she is.

fuck you.

and by the time she was doing it that would've put her beyond the deadline. which was moved up from November 2015 to a date this month.

2. she said she wasn't down w/the trust term that would've locked much of the money away until her kids went to college and if they didn't go they'd never get the money. how does that help her? now? her kids are all under 4 yrs old. putting money in a trust for them to use in like 14 to 16 yrs MAYBE doesn't help. remember, the woman struggles w/homelessness and unemployment. now.

plus that little money is a drop in the bucket when it comes to college expenses. it's also a drop in the bucket when it comes to child care expenses. so going at her for messing up that little chump change is too much. way too much.

>i mean, i think the punishment is a bit harsh but i think
>being lenient in this case is largely wtfish

i think being lenient was deserved considering her offense - she left the kids where she thought they'd be safe while she went to interview for a job. if she'd left them alone while she went to Vegas to party for the weekend - get harsh. if she'd left them alone while she went out for the night to party - get harsh. if she'd left them alone while she was out on a drug binge - get harsh. but here? no way. she should've been helped. and private entities throwing money at the kids to be used in 14 or more yrs MAYBE isn't the help i mean. and neither are those parenting classes. and neither is probation. the woman and her kids need housing. get her secure housing and she can work on fixing the rest of the problems that had her so low on the day of her arrest. just put her in and the kids in stable housing.

and then give her education - teach her how to spend money wisely. teach her how to save money safely. give her job training.

>if u are that desperate...why wouldn't u just bring the kids
>to the interview?

it's pretty easy to think clearly about other solutions when you don't have 3 kids under age 4 and are living in a van alone w/the kids and are unsure where y'all will sleep tonight or in a few days/weeks and pressure is mounting. i don't blame her for what she did at all. she likely tried to do all she could to hide her drama from her potential employer. she didn't make the best decision. she doesn't deserve to be put on probation for that.

>u get that much money raised for you that quickly and can't
>shove that sympathy cash into an account...u just piling on
>the bad decisions shitpile

sure. and she doesn't deserve to be punished for it.

fuck you.

A year for the rest of her life. They should have also given her a paid maide, full time nanny, a personal chef, and a couple of buff guys to wave palm branches in her face while feeding her grapes.

She's a black woman so her shitty decisions should be totally overlooked because two year olds left in cars to watch infants is a great fucking idea and anyone who thinks otherwise is a misogynistic racist who hates poor people, has no compassion for anyone, ever, under any circumstances, eats live puppies and butt fucks kittens because you're sowhat and that totally makes sense.

But then not putting the money in the trust wasn't wise either. I'm glad her family wasn't broken up and she still has her kids. Hopefully things will turn for the better in the long run.

It reminds me of a story about Julius Ceaser. A farmer found a chest of gold and took it to Ceaser. He asked Ceaser what to do with it, and Ceaser said "Use it." The farmer said he didn't know how, so Ceaser said, "Then abuse it."

I do not think this woman was born with a silver spoon in her mouth. She is also conditioned by desperation and a deeply material society which encourages frivolous and erroneous spending.

What did people expect her to do? She did exactly what she was conditioned and knew to do/was encouraged to do. Anytime you give someone free money, they are going to waste it.

let her get pulled over with expired insurance.
boom. jail.
fines.
more probation.

this is pretty much a guaranteed incarceration unless she has a phenomenal support team around her that can guide her and help her through this.

i hope that enough people care (not random strangers to send money to someone who doesn't have the tools to properly utilize that help) but to help guide her through the 10 year long mine field in front of her.

smh

so sad.
