I liked Mississipi, one of my favorite Southern albums of the decade easy.

The Dirty Water joint was just a quick cash-in off that album's momentum.

The next album had that wack Mr Collipark joint trying to re-do the Ying Yang shit a year late.

After that his next album had an Akon joint a year or two late as well.

Nothing I heard on those albums really matched what he did on Mississippi, in fact no song I heard on them was even matching 'Firewater' by Crooked Lettaz either.

His career has been a dissapointment to me, I don't really care enough to say I don't 'forgive' him for trying to be the mainstream star he was never really set up to be, I just stopped checking or caring what he's up to by this point basically.

Creative? Most of them are rapping about the same shit they've always rapped about in the exact same ways. The only one in the whole set worth calling creative is Ghostface, he's the only one who ever does some shit that isn't reviving the same shit he did 10+ years ago.

Inspirational? Rarely does a Wu song inspire me. They entertain me and in the case of certain emotional songs they might move me, but I've never once listened to Wu-Tang and thought "shit, that's just what I needed to hear to get me motivated to do something beneficial today".

Are they among the best hip-hop groups of all time, yes, but is it because of their creativity and inspirational talk, no sir.

My interpretation of that interview was that he came off explaining how Hip-Hop has influenced every region...including the South.

Probably at other times many of you agree that the culture is in some way very sick, racist, shallow, money-centric, etc., that's what the actual ENVIRONMENT is, everything else stems from your ability to TRANSCEND your environment, including whether you pick up Isis Papers or Plato or whatever. Transcending your environment should be the whole fucking point but it's not because people would rather score some sad points bigging up their area in a global sense. Arguing about which region promotes a better base level intellect for people who don't try to learn anything anyway (like RZA, Jay, and most musicians for that matter lol) is pointless and ridiculous.
