but the rest I haven't heard or don't cut it, Co.Flow comes close but I preferred Can.Ox.
I have a TERRIBLE fucking memory, though. The only two rap songs I've ever memorized were Boyz-n-the-Hood (long forgotten, and mostly thanks to that Dynamite Hack cover that my white friends and I thought was hilarious in middle school so it got played over.andover) and Jay-Z's P.S.A., which I still recite to myself wen I'm iPodless and waiting for something pretty much anywhere in public.
But I haven't even memorized Beatles or Stevie lyrics and I've been listening to them for 15-20 years.
I'm definitely more moved by the music, but the rap music is what moves me. The idea of the rap as instrument, maybe.
edit: if we're going whole thread? maybe I can sneak in the backdoor. But I'm not gonna scan and find out, you can grade me if you're game.
