If anything....the family members 'backed out' didn't they? They said they would go and then for some reason couldn't.
So the way it should really go down is they get the tickets regardless if they can buy them or not (cause they made the initial commitment) and give the ticketbuyer the money for em. Then THEY try to unload somewhere....keeping whatever profit they get.
The key....is that whoever finds a buyer should keep the profit. As long as the initial ticketbuyer was re-embursed. You're right....it wasn't specified who found the buyer.
