could he justify his refusal to comply with subsequent demands

as he didn't want to incriminate himself further

they got the seatbelt violation, and could have just wrote the ticket

but I'm missing how a traffic stop turns into probable cause, etc...

it's not against the law to not have ID

the man obviously felt threatened, and said as much in the video

IMO, he didn't want to get out of the car, same as the Sandusky video, because it's obvious the police are looking for more charges

but I don't see how it's legal to pull somebody over for a seatbelt violation

and that giving the police the right to investigate you with a fine toothed comb
