We are *years* from a fully automated robot that has the ability to do something as complex and dexterous as making burgers.
So yes, you might be losing a cashier or two. But if the company is forward thinking, they replace those jobs with other jobs...they mentioned incorporating delivery so that could generate two or three jobs. The company could focus on customer service like having more busboys or cooks or hosts. Maybe they invest in owning more of their supply lines, generating even more jobs.
Innovation and increased productivity aren't an excuse for losing jobs, and shouldn't be treated as such. (Edit - at least not in this case)
