Ashy to Classy
--------------

So I moved right?
I forgot that often unpacking is just as bad as moving the sh*t in.
Phuck this. All of this.
Who says we can't live out of boxes? No one will no unless I have company right?

I'm Serious
------------

I tried to listen to a Jay Electronica mixtape.
Dude is talently boring in long form.
In small doses, I see and recognize the hype but after a couple of listens it is very easy to dismiss him (which as of this moment, I have).

Does he always have to rap over a movie theme or speech?

Trap or Die
------------
I used to make some great home movies of the antics shared by my son and I. I need to get back to doing that and just enjoying the small things of life. As of recently things have become so routine and boring that I haven't felt the need to even break out a camera for any reason.

(I vow that) As soon as I get my house in order and stop living out of the boxes mentioned above---I'm gettin' out and filming everything.

Stankonia
---------

I caught a cold.

Summer colds are no less something created by the devil himself. I phucked up last night and took 2 benadryl tablets and then some Alka-Selters Plus Cold medicine. Let me tell you that I am living in total slow motion. If this is what "LEAN" does to you---I don't want it. I feel chopped and screwed right now. I am sittin at my desk scared to get up and make a cup of java in fear that someone might actually believe that I came to work drunk or some sh*t. Hopefully this only last an hour or two more.

St. Elsewhere
-------------

I need a vacation.
Sand. cool breezes. No worries while I'm there.
It doesn't even have to be an exotic place. Just somewhere that's not within earshot and requires me to use a tank and 1/2 of gas to get there. Is that to much to ask for?

Seems like South Georgia will be seeing me in the near future.

1. Apparently I've grown another inch. I feel kinda bad for the men I kept telling
they just weren't 6' every time they tried to explain being shorter, lol. Sorry, guys! You were right!

2. Fish tank drama -- the girls are gonna wind up slowly killing the one boy in there.
You know it's bad when you look at your tank and say "Come on! Fight! Whoop her ass!"
I need a blog so badly, lol.

3. I'm thinking about returning to my old job to work in a different, easier position.
It's just impossible to make enough money right now, and I just got hit with a $550 car repair bill.
It might not be so bad if my bff also gets the job (I sent him to apply this week).

4. Did I mention that I found a lump on my dog? I'm trying to be cool about it --
it's probably just a fatty lipoma. But it's always in the back of my mind
that it could be malignant. He's only 7. That's not enough time.

5. Fall is in the air! The Southern heat kills it by midday, but it's enough that
my spirits are so high right now, despite money woes. I'm so chipper (well, chipper for ME, lol).
I can't wait for next month. Too bad it's yet another fall season I can't afford cute clothes.
I am gonna hit up the military surplus store though. Utilitarian tomboy style will be in effect.

1) the child got her period last week. *quiver lip cry*

2) I don't know what's in the air in DC and MD, but these people are on some shit. Just today, some kids chased another kid onto a firetruck and were fighting on the firetruck. Every other day, I see another black person on the fucking news over some dumb shit. Fighting, shooting near recreational centers, drive-bys killing innocents, hijacking a fucking bus. I'm just so tired of this shit. I always think of the ways I can help, but don't because I'm scared I'll be the next person involved in dumb shit.

3) I had some praline pecan ice cream the other day and it was delicious.

4) I have this idea that I'm entertaining that might take off. But I have to make an initial investment. I'm thinking of drawing it from my 401k, but I know I shouldn't. I keep asking myself if the risk is worth it. I'm giving myself a week to decide.

5) I was watching Born Again Virgin the other day and I must say, Eva's body is fucking ridiculous. Her figure is not as boyish as it used to be back in the ANTM days. I'm official jealous (eats more praline pecan ice cream).

Providing instruction and guidance on how to use tampons was interesting. I balled my hand into a fist and told her to practice using the applicator and all that. Took her to Target and went over the different products and stuff. Yeah...yeah.

I live with my girlfriend and she wasn't home, so I took the liberty of washing her daughters clothes---no biggie so i thought.
Until I got to the undergarments and realized that I didn't know if you could/couldn't machine wash a bra.

Google University (aka the internet) is going to be my biggest teacher in dealing with what is essentially a teenage daughter (she's 13). Anyway, I washed in in some woolite and then hung it to dry.

I watched this last night with my girlfriend and I actually said to myself "she's quite sexy" and she is playing the hell out of that role. I've never cared for her in any other aspect of her modeling and/or acting career but she plays funny and crazy quite well.

almost to well. Either way, I enjoyed the episode that I saw.

I sometimes think that whole 'delicate' wash is just some BS to us to buy different products. Why can't I use Tide?

I agree with you on Eva as far as how she handling her character. The BAV and Tank seem like they are really trying to act, whereas Eva seems more natural.

>looking for a job is a job itself.

4 people have left my department in the past 3 weeks to go to the same rival company headed by one of our former chief execs. An opportunity was presented to me but then I'd have to travel intown and the increase in pay just didn't balance out. I'd actually be losing time and money in the long run. Plus if I left here, it's not to be with the same group of people I've worked with for damn near 10 years.

Oh and I'd be losing damn near 2 weeks of annual vacation time. I'm loving these 5 weeks I already get...I'll be damn if I just want 3 after all i've endured.

I either need new clothes or i need to lose (old) weight so i can fit in the stuff I already have and haven't even worn yet.

1. Wrote my blog today: I cheated. I kinda made it a positve friday kind of post. I guess because I just want to get back to writing my book.

2. My munchkin is a bit attention starved this morning. I guess I will get her cleaned up and take her outside to ride her bike. She starts school next tuesday. I'm so excited because I am going to be a cleaning machine during the hours she's at school. I think I may even add running for an hour or so while she's at school!!!! I'm so excited!!!! A half day without the munchkin!!!! Monday - Thursday!!!! Just thinking about it is getting me all giddy!

3. Got up and made Gluten-Free Pancakes, Bacon and Scrambled Eggs for my family. My hubby is working from home today after getting home late last night from his business trip. He's waiting on his offer to arrive on our doorstep. And, the negotiation process has begun. I really hope that the company gives him what he wants so that we can move. I love NC, but I think its time for a change.

4. Janey is awesome! Thank you, Janey! She offered to shop my resume around. The only reason I haven't given it to her because I feel like it needs an update. And, I will admit, I've been procrastinating. But the main reason is because I don't want to waste her time until I get the final word from my hubby that we are moving.

5. I also need a vacation. The birthday is slowing coming up. And I'll be 37 years old. I'm okay with it. But, it would be nice if I could celebrate with a drink, looking or splashing in some blue water, with no technology anywhere.

"We don't make mistakes, we just have happy little accidents" - Bob Ross

he has never impressed me beyond "ok he's good". i never got the super hype and have never anticipated a release from dude. and i think you described why perfectly. aside from the fact that he sounds like a lost wu-affiliate he can be very boring to listen to passed 3 tracks.

take shit for colds though bc i never really feel a difference. just drinking lots of water and praying this shit goes away soon.

MY FIVE HORRIBLE BEVERAGES I BE DRINKING SOMETIMES DESPITE IT BEING UNHEALTHY

tropicana berry punch.

the fomc goes back and forth between being a complete jerk to trying his best. right now we're in 'trying his best' mode. i thought we geminis were the ones to be constantly flip flopping. his virgo ass is a trip. hoping there's no flip back this time after the speech he gave me yesterday.

minute maid fruit punch.

spent a lotta money last week on clothes and kicks but it feels good to have new shit for a change. i hate spending money on myself but i am in desperate need of a new wardrobe so i just been sucking it up and spending what i need to on myself. if people knew how many times i've walked into the mall with the intentions of copping something for me and left with a bunch of shit for my son they'd laugh.

mountain dew.

dude on my route complained that the news paper doesn't get to him by 6:30am. i explained to dude that i'm not a delivery person and i'm just covering the route. i be doing my best but i usually don't leave the warehouse on time bc i'm doing my actual job AND i have to bag papers. PLUS that route is just stupid as hell with all the twists and turns and hills and special requests to have newspapers delivered to folks doors and newspaper slots. smh. can't wait to hand this shit over to somebody.

coca cola (from mcdonalds).

trying to get my son to learn sign language through this show 'signing time' on netflix. he loves to watch the show and sing the songs but he refuses to do the hand gestures lol smh

arizona ice tea.

my brother and i have joined forces with a friend to put out an EP. dude is nice and his voice is crazy. this EP is going to be dangerous. and he has the plugs on getting shows so that should help all of us in the long run. his latest video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDHgbj34L3c

No one would laugh if they are a single parent. We all have that" I should cop sum'n for me but lil' man needs yadda yadda -type of guilt." I do it all the time. On some oh I should get these $50 kicks but damn Greasy Jr., really needs some undershirts and socks---when in reality what he has is staple enough but that guilt makes you think they need MORE.

I actually broke down and bought myself something last month and it felt good. I bought the Moto 360 smart watch on sale at Target and with my discounts, a coupon and my target redcard I got it for $110 while it was already on sale for $149. I didn't need it. Didn't really want it (ok i'm lying) but my girl was like "it's a good deal and you never get yourself anything". Go ahead!!!

and I did.

Damn.

Now i'm about to check it out and I'm gonna be a sign language ass muhphucka.
I've been thinkin' about learning a second language for my job and since I really don't care for speaking---this might actually work. We have a ton of deaf people as clients and they're always bringin' in interpreters.

You's about to make Greasy some money.

That video is nice. He does have a rather nice voice but then again I like animated voices in rappers. (being that I have a very distinct voice myself).

I just checked his Can I shine video----that's nice too.

it's not a bad job. i actually prefer this job to any job i've ever had. i work in the warehoue though. doing deliveries throws me off schedule as far as sleep goes BUT since it takes me a lil longer it has been reflecting in my paycheck so i can't complain much.

Truth is, I wasn't super excited about the job: it would have been a *40%* pay cut, not really in an industry I'm interested in, a move across the country even farther away from family and friends, and into a region with a cost of living only slightly cheaper than my current locale (which is too high imo).

But

My current employment situation is coming to a tipping point. Either I get fired or I quit, and I haven't quit a job without having another one lined up in more than a decade. I can't take more of the shitty treatment, my employees shouldn't have to warn me that my supervisor is trying to get me out. I'm tired and beyond miserable. I'm feeling defeated.

that you continue doing your job. Leave, go home and not thing about work until you return. Wash and repeat.

Dont let the hate of your current employment situation consume you. Just do what is asked of you and leave the bullsh*t (of the job itself) at work. Don't fall into the office politics--just work to collect that check and keep grinding on your job search.

24. "5 Wagons"
In response to Reply # 0

Volvo V60
-------------------
this is that time of year where I start hemorrhaging money because shit breaks on the Volvo. went in for the routine service, about 4 things in "fatal error" state, fixed 3 of them. going back for the 4th in a week. and right on time something (I'm guessing tailgate wire harness) has caused the fuse that controls right side position lights and the tag lights to all go out. as one who doesn't want to give the police a single reason to pull a dude over... this is annoying as fuck. it's starting to remind me of my 240. as much as I loved it, the motherfucker was in the shop for some bullshit from day 1. but I wanted/needed a wagon badly back then.

at least they found that ring I thought I had lost FOREVER when I got it detailed. and the car behaved itself last weekend when everyone was in it and riding around.

Skoda Superb Estate
-------------------
speaking of Volvos I had no idea that they were for rent at the local airport (provided, in Premium tier). I'm tempted to get in that club so that if I have to do something which requires flight + short stay, I can get a V60. I love that little (and I mean little) car.

Volkswagen Golf Sportswagen
---------------------------
so, due to the loss of my uncle (the one who gave us all the term "cowbell" we use in OKS), all of my siblings and a good number of my cousins were in town. words can't describe how much I missed seeing them around.

my brother and I jumped off into this long conversation about my tape collection and rap music when he brought up Straight Outta Compton. I also put him on to Thundercat's "Them Changes" and he had it on repeat the rest of the weekend.

shit is gonna be sad as hell without Unc around, not to mention everyone else. but at least now (once the flippin car is fixed) I'm gonna be hitting the road in earnest.

my life is playing out a lot like Tyler The Creator's WOLF album. Still no "Salem" to be found, though

Holden Commodore VF Sportswagon
-------------------------------
I saw The Book of Mormon, a musical written by the South Park dudes, recently. that shit was funny as FUCK. and the one girl character from Uganda had this pretty-ass, Stephanie Mills sounding ass voice.

man, I love Stephanie Mills. she's my life-time favorite Micromaster (Koi, who posts here, might be a close #1b).

side note: Cleveland's Playhouse Square area is pretty as fuck too. especially at night. goddamn. I had to take a picture and Gram it up.

Subaru Levorg
-------------------------------
This has been the busiest week in a minute. All I want is a little downtime. I am pledging to change my ways as much as I can this year and beyond, but I'm really starting to understand the burden of introversion. the need to be "out of sight" and unbothered is real.

Isn't it like clockwork? I want to kick my little car, but she's been through a lot with me.
I can't wait until I can finally get that crossover though. lol.

To the point of detriment. Fourth Of July weekend took me out of commission for 3 days.

VW Pooreg (aka passat wagon) lasts until atleast until February where I'll then be ready to pull the trigger on something new.

or rather newer.

I want something small, gets good gas mileage and still has some pick up speed.
So far its either a VW Turbo Beetle or a Mini Cooper S.

I dont need much room. If we take road trips, itll either be in ol' girls car or I'll pony up and buy a roof attached Yakima cargo box (which Im gonna do either way trips or not).

I like those choices
I know my choice of "a side ride" would forever be the Golf GTI.
though that MDI thing that VW puts in their cars in lieu of a proper USB port is dumb

everything else about them I like

and a Beetle is pretty much a Golf in different skin for the most part nowadays

well...but then i rememered that as a 16 yr old someone gave me a 72 superbeetle that i never got running and eventually sold for basically sneaker money.

i decided that id get a beetle eventually---no better time than now. I dont even care if its not the most manly car to possess....i just need to fill that void within my self.

Sadly though the mini cooper s is winning over everything right now simply because of the available engine mods---aside from changing the turbo system everything else can be done moderately cheap.

The plus side to all of this is that my boy has his dealer license and we've been eyeing just about every car I mentioned. Last weeks auction results for the one he usually goes to in FL had an 06' mini cooper s (w/65k on the odometer) that went for $3700. Even if there was something minor wrong with it (which he said wasnt), I could put another $5k in it and still be under KBB retail price.

made any kind of improvement on.

I can't even really make friends because I just don't want to deal with having to talk to them when I don't feel like it.
And the few that I want to talk to... I can't keep in touch frequently enough that it's
not a big deal when we do talk. Then the big deal makes it hard for me deal. So I avoid. -_-

"Not Just What You Say" chorus

Love is all/All in all
----------------------
Somethin’ ‘Bout Love is Fred Hammond’s best album. I don’t listen to much gospel anymore, but I started listening to “Not Just What You Say” a few days ago and that made me go though that whole album again. There are so many songs on there that anyone (believer or not) could relate to. Many of them are just about love. Not sex. Not romance. Just love.

Forgiving faults/Great and small
--------------------------------
I won’t be eating instant oatmeal again for a very long while. Last week I stopped to get a box on my way in to work. Got to work, opened a package and there were mouse dropping IN THE PACKAGE! I didn’t even see it until I added the hot water and they floated to the top. 4 or 5 of them in fact. I left work anf went right back to that store and got a refund.

Patient and Willing to/
-----------------------
Fire phone was on sale a few weeks ago. I was going to get it for my mother but I've decided instead to take her to the Stevie concert. She needs a new phone BAD though...

Cover me, cover you/
--------------------
I may have indirectly gotten a job offer from our tech consultants. I followed up on the conversation from my personal email last week. Wish me luck, because I am starting to dislike this job.

Love is kind don’t you know, and will not seek it’s own
--------------------------------------------------------
Like I said in that other post, my cousin was killed couple weeks ago. According to his sisters and his girl, two guys tried to car jack him and they shot him in the chest. He however, shot both of them killing them on the spot. When the emergency crews got there, the car-jackers where laying dead in the street. He passed away later at the hospital. My mom was like “He sure had a lot of your uncle in him!” Mind you, I didn’t even know that was my uncle’s son until this conversation.
