I met with KJLH a few times, and they've broken down the formula to me, and told me how they determine what's played.

They even showed me stats, and they even had stats from The Wave, because someone from the station leaked it to them. And I said wow....now I see why The Wave has been playing got damn "Smooth Operator" for 25-30 whole years.

Streaming surely accounts how songs make Billboard, but radio stations aren't basing what they play directly off Billboard, but off of PPM and what their fanbase responds to. They told me songs they tried to work on the station, and how some actually didn't work initially but came back and worked later due to other factors (I feel "Redbone" may be an example of this).

So yeah, that's basically what I'm saying...radio is outdated, and they are still going off the same formulas they've been using for decades instead of catching up.
