on one hand, a lot of athletes wore opposing teams' stuff during the whole throwback craze. on the other hand, this is slightly different in that it's not paying homage to a player or anything, it's just the hat of another team. lebron caught shit for wearing a yankees hat and he's not even a baseball player.

it's not something i'll think about beyond this moment but kind of a tool move from kaepernick and his response is even douchier. shoulda just kept it moving, not said anything.

amateur sports or pro sports you're representing your university or team at all times. there's not much difference other than the fact your professional team is paying you millions of dollars to do so (and with that, most likely an even stricter set of rules about how you carry yourself off the field). It'd be interesting/funny to see how you tie this statement of fact) into some sort of racial narrative.

you seem to not even know what room you're in. maybe if this were a discussion of say, do white fans have more or less varied fan gear as black fans (a riveting topic in its own right) then perhaps you could be onto something. except that's not at all what the discussion is about - it's about ATHLETES not fans - and therefore nothing you have said has any point whatsoever.

to break this down in simple enough terms for you:

black ATHLETES= don't rock gear from rival teams.
white ATHLETES= don't rock gear from other teams.
You= don't have a point.

younger people today rock various teams for fashion's sake just to match up colors with their outfits and sneakers.

Most older sports fans only wear gear of teams they actually support and wouldn't be caught dead in anything else.
