add on in the form of an extension to the story...it can take whatever kind of turn you see fit
Let's shine ya'll
Gerard has a muscular build boulders for legs and his sand dune colored skin covered the mountains of his arms he was sexy to grown women but Sophie knew nothing of grown women talk she was a snowflake coal in color delicate in frame Sophie loved popsicles though Lorraine her bossy friend said Sophie liked blue popsicles best because she was strange Sophie really didn't like to be bossed but she loved Lorraine though Gerard thought Lorraine was too busy for an eight year old Sophie was nine but frail enough to be mistaken for seven at the turn of winter the sand dune mountain arms lifted a snowflake and melted it like blue popsicles turning to syrupy puddles a busy eight year old knew nothing of how Sophie might now boss her with grown woman talk cause she understood it now

Sophie, no longer a small bud mostly concealed in green, had begun to unfurl, however prematurely. Lorraine was jealous but not in a hateful way. She just wondered when her own petals would begin to show color, to redden at the tips like Sophie's. She didn't understand why Sophie's had come so much faster than hers, but she knew it was why Gerard and Eric and the boys they ran with always sought her out. To Lorraine, Sophie was more like other girls now, girls who shared lipstick in the bathroom before homeroom and carried letters in their purses. Lorraine had gotten a letter too, but it wasn't nearly as exciting. It was only from Rodney, the quiet boy who lived at the end of the block and went to school across town. Rodney had chestnut brown skin and he was tall, but with his long legs and arms, he was more like a tree than exotic sand dunes and mountains. Lorraine had seen plenty of trees. Still, summer was heating up and it would be easier to climb a tree than to climb a mountain...

i know it's corny like everything i do is bra lone knee
Another season changed when everything bloomed especially Lorraine spring was an appropriate name cause that's what was embeded in her step she unlike her snowfake of a friend was happy to be red discovered bones pelvic in fact and Rodney was an archeologist she finally learned to hug trees i guess she figured she'd embrace nature if she herself was going to be a flower and all due north of her concealed blossom were the hills that emmerged from her decoletage reminiscent of Gerard's mountains Summer was a coming and so was she grown women talk was commonplace and neither did this flower know that bees who seek birds furtilize seeds Spring was coming alright And as soon as the red had arrived it was forced away at least until the end of next winter

Before winter came fall, and that's what Sophie had done-- she'd fallen into everyone's bad graces. Spring was a distant memory of colors and youth and exotic landscapes that she had traversed too soon. All Sophie could see now was grey, the dirty sludge of a winter that wouldn't go away. The cold cut to her bones and she was left to find her own warmth. It was hard to do with no familiar sand dunes or mountain peaks to guide her. They all looked the same and none felt like home. Not even home felt like home anymore. Lorraine was no longer bossy, she was as quiet as the snow had been. She'd climbed a tree and never came down. Sophie wondered if Lorraine's tree had a tree house, a steady and safe place to hide from the cold. She wondered if she'd ever find such a place. Could she keep herself warm?
Come to find out...tree houses WERE safe at least for temporary ocupancy and even the short-lived felt like home a summer house even a mixture of fire and ice hot sensualiries mixed with cold shoulders cool tones of voice intertuined with a burning sensation lorraine didn't really recognize any odd feelings in her girlish womanhood looming motherhoodhad stolen her senses she could only feel that turning inward she traded temperments with Sophie like pogs or cards or something else more age appropriate she realized to late as she reached the highest branches that she was afraid of heights Sophie was brash now loud in voice compensating for faded colors hitting the ground as a maple leaf pleading not to brown requiem... coarse as icey hail stones disguised as a soft snow-scape she brought winter to every season Gerard being the cold front
Although Eric chased girls and colors and fallen leaves and new flowers he longed to climb mountains and trees a REAl outdoorsey type he wanted to discover sand dunes and dress in Sring colors teachers always said he was bright anyway
