Practicing a certain level of cool distance
I moved through all the predictable hills and valleys
And then some
I assumed most developed this core, this space of brash defiance, resilience and beautiful oblivion

Then she asked "is it going to be ok?"
And I knew she was talking about the core--the assumed place.
For the first time I wasn't sure it existed.

I see that I allowed this
Now its a question of which direction I chose to walk

leaves me with the feeling of wanting more, yet... pushes me to draw my own conclusion...

i liked how the above lines were so direct, matter of factly (if you will). they ended the poem well. Peace~

I like that this piece was shorter. I tend to write longer pieces, but have been pulling minimalist stuff out lately. Sometimes the impact is greater.
