"The Menu (Mylod, 2022)"


  

          

A satire of wealth and foodie culture that you'll realize pretty early on isn't afraid to go absurd and go absurd early. One of the writers and the director are both from Succession, so that gives you an idea of tone-- it's like if they pushed Succession's sharp humor even further.

I really had a good time. The first hour in particular is very funny, very suspenseful. Runs a bit out of steam imo, but hey, worth the price of admission to watch this cast do its thing with such a fun script.

way more than i thought i would when i initially saw the trailer.

i think the biggest laugh in the theater was when it was revealed why john leguizamo's character had been invited
