was having convo about the few filmmakers who are an actor, writer, and director. And since we all know I love to share my film convos with PTP... Post filmmakers who are (and/or qualify as) an actor, a writer, AND a director.

I mean just b/c you're in a film doesn't really make you an actor. I don't consider Stan Lee an actor and he's probably done more work than Cameron Crowe has.

But from what I've seen in PTP the census tend to be that he used to be the poster boy of the hipster revolution in the beginning. I like Scrub, although I haven't seen it lately, but what I hope for Mr. Braff is making great films, instead of starring in average films. __________________________________________
Yes he's only acted in 1 legitimate role but the post didn't have a set criteria. I figure b/c it's more than just a bit part like Cameron Crowe or Hitchcock.
Mostly bit parts but his performances in Taxi Driver and Dreams are both powerful and I think get him enough credit to be considered somewhat of an actor. I highly recommend watching Dreams for his performance alone.
I still can't believe he wrote both Rhinestone Cowboy and Staying Alive. I figured RC was a studio pic that he got suckered into and Staying Alive was just to expand his directing muscle and get his brother into the film industry but I guess he had passion for both.... for some reason
