Dude doesn't like Nas (which is OK really...free country and all)
And he particularly champions minstrel rap...It is what it is...
GOAT of his era......long live Prince.....God is alive....
But is it just me, or did that Black Bar Mitzvah tape REALLY hurt Meek's buzz? Not talking about OKP, but online in general. I've seen blogs post this song and his video for "Burn," but they don't seem to really be buzzing.
>Gunplay had the best song on the mixtape with "bible on the >dash" his ass got a bigger buzz than meek off that tape.
smh i mean u feeling urself since KL album is good, obviously but let's not be dumb here, meek millz might still outsell KL regardless if the album is as good or not

I listen to more Meek than KL prob change wit this new album unless Meek brings some heat...maybe he will. I just think with his talents hooking up with MMG and what his label he won't be able to do what KL did.
Hopefully I'm wrong and he drop a gutter classic but that young and getting it got me scared...Gunplay does got the best song on the mixtape....they should have drop originally to capitalize off Amen. I don't know if he gain any more fans by waiting but maybe he did.
i SERIOUSLY do not understand how people like this guy as a singer...i REALLY don't get it and, while a bit of ego is involved, yes, i like to think i'm a pretty good fucking judge of r n b and this guy has ALWAYS irked the fuck outta me. not only do i think he's not a great SINGER but his voice is whiny and grating as fuck. like, some singers have a nice, original quality that sounds unique which maybe doesn't fit into a TRADITIONAL r n b sound and while i think that would be SOME folks argument...his voice DON'T sound good.

a bit more grit/soul to his voice then expected in person when I saw him at The Troubadour with The Roots singing those old 60s/70s covers from their album together.
But him singing rap hooks about Maybach Curtains is nails-on-a-chalkboard, as is the limp-dick-cabaret-sounding stuff like 'Save Room' that he makes as a solo artist.

Oh I hear you, I wouldn't have been caught dead there if I hadn't went thinking I was going to primarily a Roots show at the tiny & acoustically amazing Troubadour.
When I arrived it turned out to be a 75-minute-set of Legend singing lead on covers with The Roots backing him (but no Kamal & NO BLACK THOUGHT).
Musically it was still pretty solid but uh, yeah, not what I was expecting at all.
