I've been to Low End Theory MANY times...
i think around early '08 was when i first heard about dubstep and frequented Low End. Its way bigger now...you pretty much have to roll up at 8:30 if you even wanna get in.

Now I am not going to give my opinion on your original song OP, dubstep has become a very diversified genre now and I am one fan that doesn't like to criticize what others enjoy. However, you're lucky you're on a more lenient board such as Okayplayer because if you just said that^ on dubstepforum, you would have got eaten alive.
I'm not sure if you know, but agentzero just listed to you then some of the most important innovators and even precursors to what the dubstep scene is, and where it is going right now. For you to dismiss the above tracks as not being dubstep, or even minimal (you called Ramadanman fluff brostep?) I find really offensive and really lowers my opinion of you. By no means am I a dubstep purist and I really only started to investigate the genre last year however my taste leans me towards a specific sound and artists within that genre. If you want to try question people about not liking dubstep when they didn't even ask, cool bro that's you, do you I guess. But show some damn respect, especially to artists that have contributed to a genre that you yourself are getting mad at for people not appreciating.

With dubstep, the tempo has to be a certain speed, and the baseline has to have a certain rhythm and the beat must compliment that....Some of the new shit is wack. Some of the new shit is good. Some of the new shit fits in between.

yes, because the same electronic sound effects mimicked over and over again in hundreds (more likely thousands) of songs is clearly the best thing since slice bread.
