I'd say one off the top of my head. I know several folks who have had it. So far, none of my close family has had it with complications enough for hospitalization. I was talking to my brother and his daughter may have been exposed at daycare. They shut the daycare down for 2 weeks. All this makes me almost grateful for not having kids at this point.

she thought he was getting better and poof, he was gone.
It was before the vaccine but his death is what pushed me to get vaccinated.

even with the numbers as they are. i leave my apartment double masked up 1-2 times/week to go grocery shopping at low traffic hours and see dozens of people without masks every time. the time of day and location doesn't matter. always lots of people without masks on. the maskless-ness transcends race and class. folks are so ignorant and/or selfish here

We totally reconfigured our economy and government, started a 20+ year war that cost trillions, killed and displaced millions of people around the world, for a terrorist act that killed less people that died like, say this Monday and Tuesday from COVID.
And of course you react to a war versus a pandemic differently but you would think would CARE the same. But folks are like, "meh, grandma was old and had pre-existing conditions".
It's insane.

Of that 700,000, you have to figure the majority of them are GQP/conservatives. It won’t make a different in solid red states but in swing states like Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania it could. Also in states like Arizona and Georgia where the margin of victory was so slim it could help Democrats.

its this 100%. there is no kinda. They are actually quite blatant and they arent hiding their intentions. They've already successful taken over many local elections boards and are using the big lie as a cover to justify this behavior on a broad scale.

At 500,000 they had some pageantry flair of recognition for the milestone, but since then it's been crickets. I've been tracking it in my sphere of media and it gets quieter and quieter. It's probably due to the vaccines being effective deterrents, but we should be keeping the same energy for these milestones or folks won't care like they should.
