I happened to stumble across them while looking for sports, but I think of the three the better is 99.3 since it's privately owned - and are a little more daring with their playlist. The other two which are Radio One and Cumulus, pretty much play the 80s, 90s, 00's hip-pop standards.

I would rather get play on Ryan Seacrest show than HOT97 for that mainstream push If i had to pick between the two. HOT97 is very niche and just too NY focused its really no different than most local stations at this point. Its def not the make or break for an artists career its just more about being on a station that has the type of legacy in the culture type thing now. ____

since theres so many other ways to first hear an artist those ALWAYS ALWAYS will be the first place to hear them before radio. If its really good tho and the label or artist are making that mainstream push radio is where that helps take it to that next level of just a core audience to being pushed in everyone else's face. ____
