They are the only other team capable of winning the east but I have a feeling this is Philly's year. As for whoever they would play in the Finals, they only have to play one of them. lets look at it from an objective view here, from the way i see it, i dont think the knicks have enough scorers that can bring enough offense on a game to game basis to beat them (sixers) in a 7 round series and as for the bucks i dont think they'll be able to so much as contain A.I. for at least 2 games let alone 4 in a series and miami jus doesnt have enough force in the middle to make much of a difference. (fuck what u think or heard, Zo aint commin back, and if he does, he wont be too effective) now for the west, not dont get me wrong, i like webb alot, but i think it just me but for some reason, webb has the tendency to kinda fade away in the 4th quarter, especially against tough forwards like Duncan. As for portland, they just dont seem as dominating as they were last year. so yea, the west may have more quality teams but i dont see any of them as dominating like the lakers and the blazers was last year. so the sixers have a legit shot at takin it all.

by this logic, i'm going to predict that the sixers come out of the east...and since the sixers have split their season series with each of the western powerhouses, it's a real toss-up in the finals.

i will say this -- a healthy sixers squad is going to be tough for anyone to beat in a 7 game series: they're well coached, play tough defense, have 6 guys 6-10 or bigger and possess the most lethal scorer in the league. shit, if iverson keeps playing how he has been, they probably will win it all.

We are now a really, really good team. The way I see it, the only scenario that gives us trouble out of the West is if the Lakers start balling like last year. With Mutumbo we can handle the Spurs, and Portland will be outcoached, outclassed, and psyched out if they even make it to the Sixers. A strong Laker defense, and a hot, head-not-up-his-ass Kobe, is about the only scenario I can see where we lose.

I hope so, for real. I'm from Canada, don't have an NBA team from my City, but the Sixers are my fav team, love that Iverson. Bites though, the Eastern Conference games are not televised here as much as the Western and if they are they are they're always on so damn early, Sunday morning. Like 10:00 am. Oh well they are worth the baggage and loss of beautay sleep!
