I haven't touched this subject being i'm a canuck and all, but sorry i don't feel her at all.

I don't want to shit on somebody needlessly, but when u put someone on a pedastal, then they gotta be ready to bring some heat.

She does have some appeal, but coming into the urban circle, she's not cutting it...again, this is my opinion.

The remix for 'freak on' with her was appalling (sp). She did nothing more than make noises with her mouth. How missy let that track out in public still baffles me.

But.......when i heard timbaland's remix of "turn out the lights", that beat was sick.

Which yet again proves, strong production can make a weak ass artist sound that much more 'bearable'.

Now for those who do respect, please tell me what are the things about her that are so entertaining or skilled. I say this in all seriousness. I want to see what angle am i not looking at her from.

I think her voice sounds alright actually. I still prefer hers to gwen stefani's.she's got more soul. the reason her album is so weak, is because she is surrounded by the wrong people, people that have turned her into nothing but a neat pop star. but I think that when served a hot beat, she can hold ish down ("turn off the lights"-rmx). and if that's not evidence enough, the roots-track, I'm sure will prove I'm right. looking forward to that.

All I have to say is I'm glad she wasn't at the VANCOUVER Area:One date, I was dreading that moment, and rather than Nelly Furtado what did I get? A wicked amazing version of "You Got Me" with many time changes, and beat changes, far more entertaining.

I'd much rather see Jill Scott, Jag, up on the tracks w/the roots crew, Shit, why don't we just get Scratch to kick me in the nuts and I'll wail like Furtado for a few minutes (While crying at the same time).

i gotta agree, the get your freak on remix sucked ass, but look beyond that. look at that fly like a bird song, and pretty much all her shit, and you see she has talent. i for one am glad she's collabing w/ the roots. ever since the beginning of the affair w/ her, back when area:one was announced, i was lookin forward to her singing the hook on you got me, and i'm glad she got the chance. nelly's cool. stop hatin.

have somewhat of an open mind. just cause nelly may not be in the roots normal circle of friends, doesn't mean it should be unheard of that they collab w/ them!! have an open mind! music is music anyway you cut it. Plus, compared to some of her colleagues in the pop world, nelly ain't that bad/ annoying.
