In the middle of warming up. I see a chick sitting down with sour face I say whats up and that I'm bored too. we back and forth for a minute, she tells me shes the designated driver or something like that. I make a joke I don't even remember, she laughs and I say come stand with me, she says do you want to go sit on the couches over there and I say no lets just stand together for a minute because even though I'm not having fun I think a key part to starting to have a good time is at least standing. So we are standing say a few things back and forth, we are kind of rocking back and forth together I have my hand over her shoulder, she has her hand around my waist. I'm like lets do the lean with rock with it...and we just dance like that for a minute or two. completely just easy and not like grinding to face to face at all.

then when I asked her name and she said what it was and I responded back....."is that your real name or club name?" Chick started to have the most bizarrely bad reaction, she took her hand off my waist and looked and me and started shaking her head hard and went and sat down where I had got her from. I thought she was going to cry from the look on her face I just stayed where I was standing because for a second I thought she was fucking with me but I realized she was serious. I was freaked out by how much she was freaked out. When I realized the look on her face wasn't going away I stepped maybe half a step closer to the table and was like "what do you THINK I said?" she responds "Do I look like a fucking stripper??!" I didn't respond and just stepped back and edged away. I was just lost.

......

much later I made my way outside and a bouncer guy who actually really likes me I think, a guy who I had almost taken a punch for in a scuffle a month or so back, in the nicest possible way asked me about the situation if it was true and I said it was and he asked me to turn it down a notch and that he's had complaints in the past, he knows I'm a nice guy but just kinda watch it. This dude is way cool with me so this eliminates any of the typical bouncer fuckery. He's let me in free a bunch and we joke together many times. I said I'll bounce and he said it was cool I didn't have to go but I was so weirded out I left and spent the rest of the night around the corner at the country spot.

I don't even see how what I said is even offensive. I could see if I could tell what I said or did was pushing the limit but that seemed to me the most harmless shit ever
