And portable.

Mac monitors can only be configured via software, so if you ever want to use your cinema display on a PC you won't be able to adjust it.

I've had two Dells and a Samsung and both Dells were way better. The colors on the Samsung seemed really uneven to me. Like I could drag a window from the bottom of my screen to the top and the colors would actually change. wtf?

On the other hand, this new Dell has two dead pixels which is kind of lame in it's own regard.

Mac monitor for a PC - it'll work, but there's extra junk you gotta buy (video card, cables, etc) usually. so unless you already have everything needed to make it work, gotta think about the extra cost involved. but it will work.

only shitty PCs need things like DVI cables and video cards. Even a mini can transmit it's video via bluetooth. DUH!

yeah i just looked it up on engadget. http://www.engadget.com/2008/04/12/sales-cease-on-dell-3008wfp-30-incher-due-to-technical-issue/

i remembered reading they were having some sort of problem, might want to make sure they're ok now before you take the plunge. but yeah apple displays (as with everything else apple) are nice, but waaaay overpriced.

And a 22" Dell. I'd say go with the Dell, it'll be cheaper and probably look a little sharper.
