It's a really really bad agreement, with an awful foundation. Those with most power and influence are giving tokenary support at most. I don't know how you can bring together the side the sees it as that, and the one that believes it's a step in the right direction and an ability for the NFL to promote some change.
The NFL benefits from the agreement more than any other entity. Division amongst players is secondary.
I agree, it would have been better if the players could have stood their ground longer for a genuine partnership agreement. I'm curious as to what they thought they had to lose by not accepting the owners' proposal.
