One of my favorite moments from that album. Fatlip's helter skelter flow on that song reminds me a lot of OBD.
But to get back to your point of Fatlip derailing the song, doesn't the first verse start out on an upbeat note, then moves onto the second verse which hints at a bit of disillusionment, and then progresses to the third verse where the 'relationship' is totally dissolved?
