20. "Please, tell us more the one Point of View all of Feminism has on Porn?" In response to In response to 9 Thu Jun-06-19 01:54 PM by Buddy_Gilapagos
I wouldn't even refer to myself as a feminist but I know enough about feminism to know that there are too many difference voices in the movementto try to argue that the movement as a monolith would say that it is a good thing that this girl is doing porn. (Sheesh I even added an article by a prominent woman essayist making thay very point).
And you are making my point, if you are trying to argue that this girl doing porn is a good thing that should be promoted by the school newspaper in the name of feminism, then you are making feminisn look bad. I say that not as a feminist, but someone from the outside looking in. It feels like peak White Woman Feminism to promote this girl as a sex worker damn well knowing the people who promote her would never let their daughters do it.
I would also say glamourizing sex work to high schoolers is the opposite of being protective of sex workers but whatever.
BTW, why in particular am I the wrong person? Do we really want to get into taking personal shots?
>the only other thing i will say is feminism is protective of >and inclusive of sex workers. period. > >if you don't understand that, you don't understand feminism. >talk about some shit you actually know about. > >d > >
