that are willing to put common sense at the forefront of shaping policy. These would be the people that can admit that there are things that government should be doing and shouldn't be doing. I'm afraid that the current major parties are too willing to confuse 'What' with 'How'. We could probably find people from all walks that have similar views on issues like health care, climate change, and education. We can agree that current programs designed to address these issues don't really work well. The debates should center around how to remedy those issues, not what those issues are.

The new party would not be strictly about contending with anyone but more about getting shit done. Before that can be done, people have to be willing to admit that these current parties are not engineering themselves to actually deal with anything.

Joe Liebermann and John Huntsman attempted to start something like this before but people cried foul on them being the leaders of such a movement.
