if I'm not mistaken. I don't think this sudden vanity driven narcissism is caused by The Real World or other reality shows; it's social media and smartphone driven IMO. Folks have the means to instantly capture and delivery content they deem is important for the 'masses'. That wasn't the case with Heather B was getting that Viacom sponsored rent during The Real World's first season.

I wonder if that show is actually on air as I am typing this out. Been so long since I've seen a second of MTV.
