And this is completely anecdotal, but for me, Black women just want "more" of men and want men to want more from themselves AND express that.
I remember dating non black folks. I could be half a person as long as I made them laugh and we had a good time. I could deal with my inner struggles on my own time.
But I never got that freedom with black women. I couldn't hide how structural racism made me feel, or how draining navigating white spaces can be, or how unemployment affected me, those relationships forced me to be more than 1 dimensional.
