>Fight Club --- Hate it. Hate David Fincher. Most overrated Hollywood director ever. >Donnie Darko --- Don't particularly care for that kind of creepy shit. >Pulp Fiction --- Love it, although not as much as most movie buffs/Tarantino fans. Jackie Brown is vastly superior. >Star Wars episodes I - III --- Garbage. Well...I'll be fair and admit I haven't seen the third one. But for the record...IV to VI are borderline garbage as well. >Crash --- Cronenberg's: don't care for this kind of creepy shit either. Haggis's: it was a'ight, but if they weren't already two staples of the movie critique's lingo, 'contrived' and 'heavy-handed' would have been invented for this movie. >War of the Worlds --- Haven't seen it yet. Not sure I'm planning to, because I didn't particularly care for the book. Nor for Spielberg ever since he went 'serious' on us. >Napoleon Dynamite --- Just caught the final 10 minutes one day. That Jamiroquai bit was fantastic, so I kind of want to see the whole thing now. >Lord of the Rings trilogy --- Very, very far from great, but enjoyable. Just like the books. >Sin City --- Haven't seen it. Want to. >Matrix series --- Hate it. Even the first one (and I hated it before the absolute debacle that were the following two). Not 'deep', just convoluted. >Memento --- Loved it the first time. Still like it, but I can see why some would consider it pure novelty. >City of God --- Like it. But can't help but wonder if ten years from now we won't consider it like Scarface...or if we would already ridicule how grotesque it is if we were Brazilians. Any Brazilian in the house? >Lost in Translation --- Enjoyed it when I watched it, all the while bitching about how overrated it was. Can't remember much about it now. >Scarface --- like everybody else in here...I enjoy it for the camp factor. We're going to have to stop calling it 'overrated', too, because most comments I read these days (not only on okayplayer, everywhere) are of this nature (did not age well, grotesque, campy, etc). >Training Day --- Denzel hamming it up is so fun to watch it makes you forget how dumb the whole thing is. > >Family Guy --- It sucks. Massively. >Simpsons --- see others (great once, don't care now) >Aqua Teen Hunger Force --- huh? >Arrested Development --- never watched >Lost --- never really watched past the 'what the fuck is this bullshit?' moment. I hear it's great, though, so I might give it a chance, one day. >The Office, American and British --- Have caught one episode of the British one. I liked it a lot. One of those shows I keep telling myself I should get into. >CSI (original and spinoffs) --- Enjoyed the first two or three episodes I saw. Don't care now. >Sopranos --- It's great. >Wonderfalls --- huh? >Freaks and Geeks --- huh? >Undeclared --- huh? > >Marvel vs DC --- Not into comic books at all. >Batman and prep time --- Not into comic books at all. > >Harry Potter (books and/or movies) --- Please. > >George W. Bush (just curious) --- Please. >
