I'm not aligned with any party at the moment, and I'm looking at the Green Party's platform, which calls for a lot of federally funded projects...which means taxes on me. They say that they will have a progressive income tax...but I don't know how much money that will end up costing me.
Also, with Nader's party not in the majority of Congress, most of these measures will be shot down or watered down even with the presidential power to veto. Also, breaking up the Fortune 500 into publically owned companies, which would be lovely, could create a big A problem. I don't even know if the government has the power to do so legally. The party's ideas are admirable...but in practice...will they work?
