Wasn't anything "thick" about it. I sure wasn't laying it on as think as your whole "fuck athletes" tirade. All I did was point out the inherent contradiction.
>The ONLY reason I brought the >black farmer aspect into it >is because America genetically engineers >every fucking thing they can >lay their hands on in >the efforts of maximizing consumption.
Who's laying it on thick now?
And you're telling me that all black farmers only grow organic?
My point was, cut the rhetoric. But I guess that's what people want to hear here.
>Genetically engineered tomatoes that are spliced >with insectisides to kill pests >AND another plant to increase >the growth factor. Lets not >even talk about the chemicals >pumped into beef... > >Your entire approach to my comment >is very left-brained, short sighted >and...lets face it...European as fuck.
First, what's wrong with left-brained? I don't get that. I think I'm using my whole brain, while your post was nothing but reactionary and inflammatory garbage.
Short-sighted? Are you supposed to get credit because you think you're making some relevant suggestions about the long-term financial health the black community? It doesn't matter how far into the future you're looking if your vision is blurred.
How was I thinking European? Don't get that one either. Especially since you are the one trying to mask socialism in the cloak of good-old American-style capitalism -- the same shit that got Europe mired in its current EU quandry.
>My arguement runs more >along the lines of "WITH >GREAT POWER COMES GREAT RESPONSIBILITY!!"
So if that's your argument, make it. Cut the rhetoric. Even still, my question to you is, in this capitalistic society that you seem to embrace (judging by your above replies), what exactly is the responsibility of the person who has been indoctrinated to do whatever it takes (normally by legal means, but not always) in regards to his or her segment of the population? What responsibility do they have "risk their status for a higher ideal" (which is socialist rhetoric if ever I've heard it)?
> >Never happen in America...fuck, we're still >fascinated by Survivor.
Dude, you say this, yet you act like I'm wrong for opposing your original post. I pretty much said the same thing -- it'll never happen in America.
Don't get me wrong. I ain't mad at ya. And like I said (briefly), I think it would be nice if all those things you said would happen. But I'm not a big fan of rhetoric. Sounds like Zen.
