does "who cares?" sound like a "to the death" defense of d'angelo? personally, i think all that prancing and dry-humping is rather blase blase -- but if that shit doesn't effect the musical quality and content, then what's the harm? i'd much prefer a musician keep his musical vision intact and alter his image than vice versa. liking or disliking a musician for their image and not the music is absurd. when the ass-shaking influences the music, then there's cause for complaint. as far as d'angelo's conscious rebelling against his image -- that's on him.
