"the "15 minute beat" fad is a fucking parasite"

really, this shit is getting out of hand

when i read a young beatmaker say that hours is "entirely too long"
i realize hy hip hop is so shitty
mo fos BRAG abuot making shit in 15 minutes
to my knowledge, swizz popularized that one
guess what? IT FUCKING SOUNDS like it was made in 15 minutes

nah, i havent "made it"
yeah, im still developing my own sound
no, i dont have the right to tell anyne else how to get don
but realistically... i dont give a fuck WHO you are
if you consider 3 hours to create something dope to be too long
i dont know what to say, really, except that you shouldnt be making music

sampling, keyboards, whatever... i dont care how you get down
but there was a time when folks LEARNED how to PLAY an instrument
now that e have teh technology to jack their hard work and do something creative with it, we've gotten lazy even with that

THIS is EXACTLY why hip hop gtes shit on and not regarded by so many as a legit musical form

why bother? why not just jack dope beats from other people and market them as yours? if anything over 20 minutes is too much time, you really shouldnt make music.
