i mean if swizz said ruff ryders anthem took him 56 hours, we would probably be saying people are spending too long. its more about the persons ability to produce a good track, engineer it well and give it a good mix down. that they can actually play a bit and know their way around a keyboard/program would help too, lol. but most people dont. i agree people thinking 20 minutes is too LONG are idiotic but sometimes things can be done really quickly. i bet primo doesnt spend too long on his beats these days considering how they sound. his beats are well made and finished etc, but the actual musical content of them are just boring now.
