mircosoft VP of gaming phil spencer is big on this, which is why "xbox exclusivity" essentially means PC and xbox one these days. i'm buying death stranding and HZD on PC, mostly to vote with my wallet and hoping more sony-exclusive games will eventually come to PC. this strategy worked when i bravely purchased awful PC ports of console JPRGs in the late 00s and early 10s. when i was buying them you couldn't find JRPGs on steam. now you can't make it past the front page without seeing them
