It's such a shame that they took everything that makes Glassman exciting and made him a standard misogynist. Ugh.
And D'Elia has moments, but I don't know if he does it for me as the guy leading a sitcom.
Material is... okay, nothing special. A couple of funny bits and moments. I really like Morin-- he'll get better material in the future. Hopefully in this show's future... but highly doubtful.

It would be interesting to see him in a show of his own material where he could be more comfortable and connected to the material but he doesn't sell the jokes here and often feels needy when delivering the albeit weak punchlines.
It also felt like, a few times, that the actors were close to breaking. Obviously, it's a pilot and people need to grow into their characters but, as you noted, these are all pretty generic, standard archetypes. Overall, a lot of this felt like a local theater production rather than a network sitcom. Even the staging, for instance, at the mixer, seemed off.
It's doing well ratings-wise so maybe they'll get more time to rejigger the show but for now, I'm out.
