"RETRACTION: I TAKE BACK WHAT I SAID ABOUT 'THE DARK KNIGHT'"
Sat Jan-30-10 04:10 PM by Orbit_Established

Saw it again.

Long time ago I said it was about (C).

I said the worst part of the movie was the fact that
the Joker broke laws of space-time, had no physical
psychological or intellectual limits, at all, and
was pretty much invincible.

I said mean things to you nerds for crying about how "X or Y"
wasn't "feasible" in other movies, then turning right around
and defending all this silly impossible nonsense in
'The Dark Knight'

I said that the whole Two-Face diversion was silly that
it almost bordered on hilarity.

I was lying.

Why?

Because the worst thing really was THIS:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBA2TttH4pw

Oh, the other stuff still sucks and its still about a
(C) overall.

But LOL @ Batman's voice. I'm going to start calling
it 'THE LISTERINE KNIGHT'. In every scene Batman was in
I wanted to tackle the nigga(n/h) and make the nigga
gargle with Listerine.

He talked like he got strep throat.

Odd, because when I saw it first, I actually didn't
mind the voice.

Oh, and I'm peeping how y'all nerds are nit-picking
'Avatar' and yet didn't nitpick TDK.

I dont get when people say this regarding Listerine. I always feel he needs a Ricola or a cherry flavored Ludens cough drop. Listerine seems like it would make his throat more scratch but his breath would be fresh.

If he gargled after that first scene in the police dept, he
could have graduated to some Ludens by the end of the movie.

But he'd have to get there gradually.

Listerine --> Halls --> Ricola --> Ludens

I'd still make him gargle with listerine anyway,
because he can't be having no cough drops in his
mouth when he's trying to save Gotham. It could go
down the wrong pipe and he'd choke. That's not a good
luck for justice and peace.

Listerine? Gargle, spit it out, and keep it moving

Avatar could have done more; the Dark Knight needed to do less.

And I'm also going to give Avatar points for not requiring a monologue ever 5 minutes in order to convey the message that they were trying to get across.

This last point is quiet magma. GODDAMN was TDK cheesy
with all its "justice" monologues and exchanges. Even
the JOKER was cheesin' EXPLAINING his love of Chaos...I
almost LAUGHED OUT LOUD that it was so corny.

But on the real: How can niggas nitpick and complain about
lack of realisticness of some shit on ANOTHER PLANET and then
turn around and IGNORE the WORSE inconsistencies in TDK?

... but then he used the voice around people who already know he's Bruce Wayne. You'd think at some point Christopher Nolan would've gone, "Uh, Christian? Could you dial back the growl just a tad?"

I always thought he was just doing it himself to mask his voice. I didn't think it was supposed to be a voice box type of thing.
