completely disagree. beats-wise, that was one of the most innovative hip hop albums ever. TONs of quality live instrumentation, funky as hell, and fun (though not super complex) wordplay. hard pressed to find a hip hop album with that amount of live instrumentation these days.

dope beat, dope hook, dope verses... a super-fun record. it would have probably been more impacting in 1992/1993 but it was still dope nevertheless in 1998. i.e. better late than never.
